this song was adapted into sundanese (Indonesia) version way back to 1936 by one of our greatest maestro with a help from a russian artist live in Bandung....I find about it just recently which answers my curiosity why it has such a different melody from other sundanese songs....it is, remain, a beautiful song...

A friend just saw him perform in San Francisco a few days ago. The audience wouldn't let him leave until he sang five encores! I didn't know what a wonderful performer he was until I started looking at videos on Youtube. What a hunk!

But yeah, the experience was just phenomenal, I am a musical theater performer and I now start to study lieder singing, so I actually listen to a lot of good singers in many different styles including opera all the time, he is the BEST singer I've ever heard in live. And how fortunately that I got his autograph!!
