  • The most emblematic scene of the movie!

  • Yes, I saw that film, and about fell over when I realized it was a true story!

  • 0:15 sexy young chicks

  • It's like Hetelia: The Musical

  • the film is called Angelus . It is whole on youtube with subs!

    watch?v=zymTi-foeEs

  • wtf this is weird without context.

  • @barendbos you have to watch the film to understand.

  • is the music in this made for the film or not if so what is it called

  • Btw, the actor really looks like Stalin, when he was a young man!

  • Tell me something, at the end of this movie, Solomon is serving the German Army, then he defects to red army? I think that I already watched this movie.

  • This guy was in my school today, holding a speech about his life for about 2 hours. It was awesome, and I'm definitely checking for some more information about him!

  • this scene shows the hitler-stalin union :P

  • I wish my classmates would say something like that during the presentation tomorrow...

I think they`ll only laugh about this scene.

  • probably the best film ive seen so far

  • I like this film.

  • The movie is based on the true story of a Jewish German boy named Salomon, his family fled to Poland from the Nazis in the 1930s, then the Nazis invaded and took away his family, he fled to Russia where he was captured by the Nazis, but he lied about his ethnicity as a "Volga German" and was forced in the Hitler youth then the SS. Other ways he managed to survive under Nazism, avoided execution by the Red Army on the last days of WWII and finally moved to Israel for the rest of his adulthood.+

  • He claimed to be a "Volksdeutscher" not a "Volga German". Volksdeutscher is an ethnic German living outside of Germany. There werde 2 groups of Germans back at those days: "Reichsdeutscher" and "Volksdeutscher". Reichsdeutscher were the Germans living in the Reich, i.e. in Germany and Volksdeutsche were those Germans living outside of Germany, some of them for generations, Volga Germans are also part of this group, btw. most of them returned back to Germany in the End of the 80´s and the 90´s

  • @devulboy1 He didnt went to the SS

  • whatever =)

  • its from a german movie... u have to watch the whole movie to judge... that guy was killed and that is what he sees in heaven i guess...

  • Rater polish than german:) it was co-production

  • It was a FrenchPolish/German movie.

  • @JesusMetalerin that guy want killed he's a jew that escaped the nazis because they thought he was an aryan german, it's a true story. his name is Salomon Perrel, he was at our school after they screened the movie

  • @omnikittens at my school, too.

  • that guy was killed but what we see is a dream by another

  • @JesusMetalerin This is what he's dreaming.

  • i wonder who the guy with the wound in the chest should be

  • maybe santa claus?

  • I remember the first time I saw this scene years ago it made me crack up (even though it's meant to be serious). The wounded guy is the Polish guy who was against communism and later tried to denounce Solly as a Jew (I think that's what you were asking??)

  • He also looks Christlike in the pose.

  • This is Zdenek Gracek, a Polish boy, who was a strict catholic and a foe of Salomon. (They had both lived in the Soviet orphanage in Grodno before the Nazis invaded the USSR). Zdenek wanted to tell the Germans that Salomon was a Jew and Salomon slapped him in the face and he was ran over with a truck instantly after that.

  • zenek, not zdenek :-)

zdenek is the czech version, zenek is polish...

  • @sternberg1 A polish guy, that he knows from School. They don't like each other.
