Ring Man is actually one of the easiest Robot Masters when you notice his pattern.

Jump over his ring, jump again when it comes back, but don't get too close, as he'll jump to catch the ring. He will then toss another ring. Jump between him and the ring when he's running after you. Shoot him when you have an oportunity. Repeat until done.

That's his entire pattern. It's tricky at first, but it does the job! ;D

I think I know what Ringman's REAL defeat was: One day, Ringman was just walking around having a good time when Sonic decided to go after him (for rather obvious reasons). Sadly, Ringman was just too slow...and Sonic left that day with 9 1-ups and 99 rings to spare...

@EaseOfDisgust1296 - Yes, doing a pure run (no special weapons or E's) Ring man is one of the hardest. Timing the jump between his rings whilst running at him so you can get close enough to slide under him when he jumps at you. Not easy at all. Crash Man is also pretty tough.

Woodman's stage had 3 minibosses, but at least the level stage is simple and straightforward and is the only stage that has minibosses. In Ringman's stage, crossing those periodically disappearing "laser-like" platforms and not falling to death can be even harder than the minibosses.

Okay, I compared this track to others in the NES series and this is easily one of the worst tracks. I find this track incoherent as in it is just composed of random sound effects just thrown in together. After just pure randomness from 0:00 to 0:25, finally there's a melody, but still it's nowhere near as good as Toadman's, Skullman's, Diveman's or Pharoahman's melody.

Many people might disagree, but this is just my own personal opinion so if you don't like it, then I don't care.

It has a very improvised kinda 'gypsy' tone to it over a kinda funky elaborate bass line...

And there IS a melody in that section you mentioned and it's a very clear (singable) one.
