What would have made him perfect was if he had a huge mental breakdown. HUGE. Ultimate proportions-

He has been through hell, his father abused him as a child- throughout the series he is constantly rejected, and the victim of unfortunate events ( Rape, Cancer, the death of loved ones. )

It is only natural to see someone break after stuff like that. I liked seeing Christian at his weakest moments, one huge life altering moment of weakness would have made it even better.
