  • well, i'm not it box... but if you take 2 strong left hooks you should be retreating, But Ali is the man. in atack always.

  • I was always brought up to believe that Muhammad Ali was the greatest fighter!!! The fact that he cheated against Henry Cooper, and this fight, makes me think otherwise. Parkinsons never came on to someome such deserving!

  • @Tinrib1983 cheated? he never cheated against no one.

  • Unstoppable force meets Immovable object.

  • Legends never die!

You´ll still live in our hearts forever

  • @4:47 only Frazier had the balls to do this to Ali.

  • im a big Ali fan but in this fight he did all those thing that indicate an attempt to get an unfair advantage where you are in trouble..., grabbing, leaning over, pushing away etc. Joe wooped his ass.

  • joe frazier whupped Ali's ass in this one!! BELIEVE THAT

  • frazier kicked his ass?! gtfoh they beat each other up.....ali doing a little more. now how many mf'n young people that weren't even around to see these men fight will just be dick-ridin' joe 'cause he passed this week. r.i.p. joe, but ali is and always will be the best! (even joe knows)

  • @MrNUNYABINES ali got it easier cuz of his long reach and heigh. it has to do a lot in boxing. as you saw, frazier had to come toward him and weave all the time, cuz if he wouldnt ali would just stay on distance and beat him. this is why i think tyson was the best boxer ever. he was champion in heavyweight , even though he was short. most guys he fought were taller than him.

  • @omgzorz1235 This is boxing, Every style has its advantage and disadvantages. And No this fight was really really close. Ali won the first half and frazier took the last rounds. Watch the fight carefully:P

  • @MrNUNYABINES Sugar Ray Robison was and is rated above all boxers even ali.

  • RIP GREAT JOE FRAZIER

  • Muhamed ali 31-1 my friend joe have kicked his ass here RIP Joe

  • Is it me or Ali was the greatest ... for grabbing and hang at his opponent? Don't get me wrong he was one of the best for his time, but in todays boxing he wouldn't had that luxury.

  • Ali, beaten by a human hamburger...

  • Yes, Smoken Joe was damn fast, hard and just great. But Ali had always the better eye and he was a way more miscellaneous in Boxing Techniques.

  • joe was faster than ali. i have right?

  • RIP SMOKEN JOE FRAZIER

  • Referring to "they," I denote the racist, separatist, oppressive savages who knew Ali was a threat to their Eurocentric barbarianism. Of course you would wish to believe Frazier fought for your politics and "won," however, Ali CRUSHED him. Helen Keller could see that. (wink)

  • Ali beat him SENSELESS. They CONSPIRED on Ali. It wasn't even close. The greatest.

  • @oaklandraiderz76 if they 'they' you mean Frazier's fists, well, that was kinda the point

  • RIP JOE

  • Frazier would have dominated in the heavyweight division today.

  • Joe is dying of cancer and under hospice care. Here's hoping he can KO that disease.

  • Great!!!

  • tyson had alotta power, speed, defense and head movement.but very little ring iq. he eventually got clinched, leaned on, headbutted, uppercutted and didn't have the personality or knowledge to deal with it. but in a fair fight punch for punch. tyson would lose very few fights. tremendous chin to power ratio. probably only matched or surpassed by foreman.

  • 4:49 Frazier schooling ali.......that was tight frazier showing he has just as much right to be in the ring as ali.

  • tyson would destory both of these dudes. I mean seriously tyson had the same style as fraizer but was a fucken disaster. tyson weaved better. tysons speed and power was definately better, and would have droped ali for sure

  • @LiquidDnb4Ever Not a chance in hell Tyson would have beaten Ali at his best. Ali is the fastest man in boxing that is a fact. Ali would have done the same thing to Tyson that Douglas did.

  • @LiquidDnb4Ever tyson and frazier were nothing alike dumbass. tyson doesnt have the stamina, or relentlessness like joe, he doesnt thow nearly as many punches and isnt as agressive and also isnt even close to joe in terms of inside fighting, tyson like range and in terms of head movement joe has a higher duck slip ratio, he made his oppo miss more punches, and his oppo wasnt afraid like tysons was. joe also was alot tougher mentally and physically then tyson, joe fought at a faster pace aswell

  • @messier991102 Tyson hit harder Had great defense in his prime and Tysons hands were very very fast Tyson kos frazier he would overwhelm him.

  • @cainepittman2 i can easily say, frazier threw too many punches, is too good of inside fighter and has too much stamina, frazier tkos tyson in 7

  • @messier991102 Tyson hands were way faster plus Mike tyson power is some the best every power in both hands tyson kos him early.

  • @cainepittman2 ye but maybe earlier tyson because later in his career he just go for 1 punch knockout also tyson dont really have the patient like frazier hav

  • @kenndiata IM talking 88 head movement and combos and his hands were fast plus he could jab early Tyson kos joe frazierits a bad match up for joe.

  • @cainepittman2 I would not know, b/c Tyson never fought a guy that was in front of you putting pressure. I think Joe could have an edge there, but I may be wrong.

  • @screwsalliemaedebt Tyson loved for guys to come toward him he would koed frazier Tyson habd speed and power joe bobbing weaving Tyson hits him with a upper cut and kos him

  • @cainepittman2 And Iron Mike wouldn't stand a chance against Ali.

  • It's hard to see Frazier winning any of the first five rounds. Round 5 was very one-sided, despite Ali showing definite signs of fatigue. Frazier won the 6th. Ali looked tired, although Frazier showed a few signs of fatigue himself. I give Ali round 7, even though a lot of his punches didn't have a lot on them. Frazier landed some body shots, but little else, and got hit by clean shots throughout the round. 6-1 Ali after 7.

  • @TA152H01 round 1 is possibly even

  • Weird statement by Don Dunphy. Liston wasn't the same caliber as Frazier? Hard to say for sure, but he'd probably knock Frazier out like Foreman did.

  • @TA152H01 agree

  • Frazier clearly won this fight. No matter how many times I look at it, Frazier wins 8-6-1, or 9-6. Ali hurt Frazier once, and Frazier hurt Ali about every other round starting in the 4th. Ali had 2 fights prior to this one, so he didn't come into this fight after a 3 1/2 year layoff. Ali's place in history is sealed as the greatest, but he lost this fight.

  • u all white dog jealous of black gold great ALI

  • frazier came with it! Ali met his match in Frazier

  • Comment removed

  • God this was when boxing was boxing

  • ali LOST, joe was better that night. no shame for ali though prime joe frazier beats most HW greats

  • If Ali had protected the right side of his face, totally different fight.

  • You know watching Ali fight he did leave himself open a lot but you had to catch him though

  • The crowd was on Fraziers side that night, I meant they cheer everytime Frazier caught Ali, imagine if the crowd cheer'd everytime Ali scored a hit, it would cheering would never be able to die down.

  • My dream fight is Frazier vs Holyfield. The two most iron willed warriors of boxing would have made an amazing battle!

  • @owadave Yeah one HELL of a fight

  • OOH those jabs by ali I felt those! Ali was eating his face up. Ali was a head hunter. His philosphy is if you take out the head the body will fall.

  • i wish ali would have uppercutted more an danced in this fight...cuz joe always had his head down..

  • Round 4 Ali landed 61 punches Frazier landed 24 punches Round : Ali

Round 5 Ali landed 44 punches Frazier landed 22 punches Round : Ali

Round 6 Ali landed 21 punches Frazier landed 34 punches Round : Frazier

Round 7 Ali landed 41 punches Frazier landed 29 punches Round : Ali

So far Ali has won 6 rounds while Frazier has won 1

  • @324582782

all people now that my frind

this fight ali won 10 - 5 all the world now that

but mack ali lost becous hes ( muslime ) in that time was the champion christeian frizer

ali if not kockout forman in round 8 , also forman will mack him won !!

and ali now that thats why he kockout forman

  • @324582782 this is pro boxing not the olympics. More effective punching is how the judges score it

  • @LHSPanther62 you are crazy. Work rate counts in every fight. Alis punches were not weak and were landing on his head. Effective punches play a role to it doesnt really make a difference when the other other boxer lands 3 times more punches than you with a better landing percentage. This fight was tough no doubt but scoring is sooo off

  • @324582782 Not really Frazier has Ali beat in everything 1) Effective aggression- Frazier was the aggressor and landed hard shots. 2) Ring generalship- Frazier forced Ali to fight his fight and took away his room to box, Frazier landed harder punches more consistently and worked the body, Ali missed a lot of punches and i i didnt see him outlanding Joe

  • @kenomy66 Aggressive? Joe frazier style makes him aggressive. Ali landed most of his punches in first 10 rounds I dunno what fight you are watchin. I can give you the scoring i have you can tell me where i have made mistakes and rescore it.

  • @324582782 ali trys to shoe shine in almost every round at one point or another. Fraziers shots clearly have more of an effect on ali then alis flurries and jabs

  • @LHSPanther62 you have no knowledge of boxing. Instead of telling me which round i made mistake you go around giving me a summary of the whole fight. Okay he landed some good shots at Ali but which round?

I have scored the fight and gone through every round and Ali landed more effective punches and won more rounds. It was tough fight no doubt but instead of being bias tell me where i have made mistakes and im willing to change my mind.

  • @324582782 1-ali, 2-ali, 3-even, 4-ali, 5-ali, 6-frazier, 7-frazier, 8-frazier, 9-ali, 10- close but given to frazier due to aggresiveness and ali's clinching, 11-frazier, 12-frazier, 13-frazier, 14-ali, 15-frazier. On a rounds based system i have it 8 frazier 6 ali with one even. On scoring you must take into consideration whos the aggressor, whos doing the majority of the clinching, and the effects the punches are having.

  • @LHSPanther62 1- Ali correct 2 - Ali correct 3- Even Yes we can agree on that:) 4- Ali correct :) 5- Ali correct:) 6- Frazier correct 7- Ali common you know ali threw more and landed more and controlled that round so its Ali's round. 8- Frazier correct 9 - Ali correct 10 - close? who are you lying to here? Ali landed twice the amount of punches, okay even with the clinches you can say its even but thats a stretch but its no way Fraziers round. Round 11 - Frazier correct 12- Draw cont

  • @324582782 In close rounds the scoring is swayed towards the more aggressive fighter and clinching by the other boxer can lose him close rounds as well.who the contender is and who the challenger is plays a big part too in close rounds.. A few big shots can sway a judges opinion, and clearly the judges favored the body work and hooks from frazier as opposed tothe pity paty flurries and jabs from ali.

  • @LHSPanther62 those pity paty jabs turned his face into a mess, Ali was in much better shape after the fight than frazier so don't say pity paty punches. Secondly you are being biased again just like the judges cuz clinchin cannot change the fight around like that. you don't believe me? look at the score card

Ali won this fight or its a draw

  • @324582782 Frazier wasnt the one pissin blood for a week... You are entitled to your own opinion but you are one of the very few who thought ali won this fight.

  • @LHSPanther62 I'm entitiled to my opinion? Your scoring itself proves that Ali won the fight

Now if you just don't wanna accept the truth then i feel bad for you.

  • @324582782 My scoring itself proves ali one? How do you come to this conclusion? A disgruntled Ali dick rider who after 40 years cant accept that ali got punished. A random person on youtube with no boxing experience trying to troll the comments on ali fights smh. Tell me, how many times have you boxed in your life not including playing fight night? Im done trying to argue with you.

  • @LHSPanther62 Lol im 19 years old and an amature boxer why you judging me? You don't know me so stop acting like a cranky dumb fuck. You just cant accept the truth. ANYWAY Ali did win the 2nd and 3rd fight. Fraziers last word before the 14th round "I CANT SEE I CANT SEE" lol

  • @324582782 he lost the 2nd and 3rd but NOT the 1st

  • @324582782 if only joe could have stood up for the 15th round in manila, he would have won that fight.

  • @carlitoboxing7 lol sure

  • @LHSPanther62 round 13 - Frazier correct :) Round 14 - Ali Round 15 Frazier

Now i have scored this fight from your point of view and i changed some of my scoring by seeing what you said.

But even then this fight goes to Ali. Ali has won 7 rounds in this fight atleast while frazier has won only 4 rounds. No way in hell did Ali loose this fight. You tried to change your scoring to show that frazier won but you know yourself that frazier didn't win this fight even if you disagree:)

  • @324582782 Well then trust me when i say that you would never become a professional boxing judge if you believe ali won this fight. Frazier set the tone, was in better condition, and clearly won this fight.

  • @324582782 ALi lost in my opinion the 5,6,7,8,11,12.13 and 15, the 5th round is my opinion while the other rounds are rounds that Ali is judged to have lost by OBJECTIVE judgement

  • Ali isnt given enough credit for his chin some of those punches would kill a man!

  • Joe blocks many punches with his head.

  • Damn, did Joe hit Ali @ 5:59 just after the round was over???

  • do u get points on body shots? in terms of punches to the face i have ali ahead in every round up to round 7

  • this frazier was a monster and is a top 3 hw of all time. too bad he had so many health problems.

  • i absolutely love frazier's countenance @ 4:19

screenshot it and put as my new background

  • They kept talking to each other during the fight, does anyone know any of what they said?

  • im a boxer and i must say. . . some of these punches BOTH these men took, and i emphasize the word 'men', would have floored the ordinary man

  • frank lucas was there ...

  • @ver7igoz the heroin dealer?

  • Ali seems to be in full form and you can just feel frazier is not going to be denied! he like a caged bull or something just waiting to explode on you. he flat out dont care to get hit either. hes just coming!!

  • WOW the 1 2 jab 1 2 @ 1:41!! Ali is so freakin sweet!!!!! such an artist

  • would like to think ali won the 4th round but joe fought back strong..

  • Ali scoring like crazy to start the 4th!!!! its a pounding!

  • Listen to the bombs that Frazier is landing on Ali's body. Man, was the greatest a tough S.O.B. with a ton of heart. These two were battling in that ring. Not just the greatest rivalry in boxing but in all of sports. Happy 40th anniversary to this fight and to the two combatants.

  • "In his hotel room the morning after, Muhammad Ali nursed a swollen jaw as the waiter arrived with breakfast and good wishes for the man he called champ.

"I'm not the champ," Ali corrected him. "Joe Frazier is the champ.""

  • How did everyone score the 7th? It was a difficult one.

  • how the fuck did Ali not fall down after all those lefts?

  • @truthfulmind not according to Muhammad Ali!

  • @truthfulmind not even remotely true. Frazier whooped his ass.

  • @truthfulmind no it really wasnt close. ali couldnt keep up with this frazier. only a younger ali or 73 foreman owuld have beaten this frazier. he was like a machine on this night

Tuttavia mi chiedo come faccia Frazier a prendere tutti quei pugni in faccia e rimanere in piedi. Infatti dopo quell'incontro Frazier non è stato più lui.La vittoria soffertissima e costosissima di Frazier con Alì fu la premessa della clamorosa batosta del medesimo con Foreman.

    Angelo Balzano

  • Frazier really had terrific head movement

  • 8:35-8:40 lmao ali is a clown

  • I KINDA FEEL FRAZIER WAS ON COCAIN IN THIS NIGHT

  • ali was taking up the swelling from joes face the whole time

ask dundee GOIN CRAZY and was inside with joe frazer

    wthk wAS HE THINKING

    ???????????????????????

but a young ali wud of really crushed his heat by this point you see wat was missing FREAKKKZZZZZ

  • that is some left fraziers got

  • i would hate to be either of these fighters during this fight... hitting a man with every-fucking-thing you can throw.. and not even moving them.... fuck.

  • Ali even admitted to losing this fight.

  • @salsero2004 yup, took many years tough...

  • @primeboxers ho it just took a day lol

  • @primeboxers no it just took a day lol

  • @salsero2004 i see ali doing good things in this fight. but frazier comes back everytime and stronger then ali. im an ali fan and i believe he lost here too. no fluke either. frazier when on could beat anybody in history. just an alltime great warrior

  • @salsero2004 actually muhammad ali said he won this fight in an interview with joe frazier. he told frazier he was the one who won. he even said he got demolished by fraziers left hook. ali did not say he lost this fight. i got proof

  • @salsero2004 Ali said both. Ali said he thought he won the first fight, but he didn't want to make a big deal about it because the judges awarded the fight to Frazier and Ali didn't want to sound like a sore loser.

  • i think ali has brain damage by joe frazier in tree fights sorry for my english im dutch

  • I Doubt it You'll ever get A Fight as good as this One with fighters like these days around-EVER!

  • Wladimir Klitshko would get Smoked by these tw0, the only reason hes champ is because the fighters these days are so incompetent.

  • @BumbleBrook You are right.

  • ali kept hiting joe more but joe would not stop comming at ali fearless fraizer!

  • The left hook at 2:26 nearly took Ali's head clean off his shoulders!

  • From 4:15 to 4:55, when frazier continuously lowers his defense, getting hit sometimes, sometimes dodging, but still yelling at ali and staring at him, like an indestructible being, i almost shit my pants. This fight is pure epicness.

  • Comment removed

  • You don't see heavyweights moving this quickly anymore.

  • @wuzcloopin Wladimir Klitshko does... lol

  • @primeboxers Haha, he wishes. that giant Ukrainian would not last 3 rounds with either of these fighters.

  • @wuzcloopin I agree

  • @primeboxers I agree. but no one matches Jack Dempsey haha

  • @Omenrave Wladimir Klitschko does... lol

  • @BumbleBrook LOL not even haha

  • @wuzcloopin Actually, either Klitschko would be a nightmare for Ali. It would be a stylistic problem since Ali didn't like guys taller, didn't like guys with long reaches, and didn't like guys with jabs. He'd have no chance to knock them out either.

Frazier would be too small, especially with his so-so chin. He'd have a hard time surviving against guys so much bigger and stronger, and would probably be runthoused.

It's too bad size matters so much. 215 pounders make better fights.

  • @TA152H01 You can't win though if you don't land a punch. Klitschko would simply be too slow and too outclassed, regardless of his size. It's not like Ali fought only 215 pounders. (Foreman, Norton etc) It wouldn't have gone 3 rounds in my opinion.

  • @wuzcloopin Well, George Foreman landed punches. Sonny Liston landed punches. Those guys are much faster, and more skilled, and bigger.

Ali wouldn't even approach having the power to knock these guys out, especially Vitali, who's fought bigger, stronger guys than Ali. He fought Lennox Lewis and didn't go down. Ali? Be serious.

Norton was 210, 205, 217 when he fought Ali. Foreman, 220. Vitali around 250, and over 6'7". Tough fight for Ali.

  • @TA152H01

Way too slow. Modern fighters are way too slow and big to hit Ali. Jesus Klitscho makes Liston and Foreman look like Sonic compared to his ass.

  • @willsmackyoudown You really think Klitschko is slower than Liston or Foreman? No way. I disagree entirely.

Liston was sooooo slow. So was Foreman. Dreadfully. But, they landed shots sooner or later.

It's not that Ali wasn't a better fighter, he was. But, style wise, he had big problems with tall guys and guys with jabs. Fights were much more active too with smaller guys. Much better. But, still, these guys would be a bad style, and their size would be a big problem.

  • @TA152H01 I agree with you, Ali's my favourite heavyweight to watch, in many ways. However, one can't ignore the fact that a taller man, also with a strong jab would all but eliminate his style's effectiveness. Ali would have to employ a strategy like he did the rope-a-dope against foreman; perhaps relying upon his superior chin and relfexes.

  • @TA152H01 Liston and Foreman only look slow relative to the fast guys they had to compete against, athletes like Ali, Patterson, Norton, etc. The Klitschko's, whilst being fast for their size, look faster relative to some of the puddings they fight. When Eddie Chambers has the nickname "fast", you know that this is an era of mostly slow heavyweights...

  • @HarryTheTalkingDude As a rule, yes, they are slower, but that comes with size. Foreman and Liston were soooooo slow, even for their time. They always looked slow. Foreman was so slow, you wonder how he was so successful, but heavy hands make up for a lot. Liston had more skill.

Either Klitschko is faster than those two. I wouldn't exactly say they are fast, but they aren't gruesomely slow either. And they have a lot of skill.

  • ali was outlanding fraziers more than 5 to 1 but joe was landing insanely crushing hooks like the shots at 2.20 and 2.26,they did more damage than the 30-40 shots that ali would land, alot of his were grazing and also he isnt known for power but joe's hooks had some serious brain damage potential, some people get brain damage from just 1 blow to the head like that, ali took hundreds over the 3 fights

  • @KIWIAZALWAYS I'm suprised by both men, they both took everything the other guy had to offer and did not crumble.

Ali who was even knocked down, just got back up and continued like a true champion.

and look at fraziers face, he took some kind of beating, but never stopped walking down the fastest heavyweight in history.

    amazing performance by both!

  • @primeboxers In the ring perfect examples of what a true fighter should be. It's a shame they both left parts of themselves inthe ring that night, more Frazier though he never was the same after that fight although i don't think anyone could blame him.

  • SO far I have ali winning all four rounds so far, though Smokin Joe landed the harder punches. Their was nothing Ali could have done in this fight, Ali like in the third time meeting him hit joe with everything and Joe kept coming.

  • @joshua626 I agree, in all three fights I have him winning the first 3-4 rounds, Frazier was a slow starter it took him 4-5 rounds with Ali before he would come out smokin'

  • This fight came a little too soon for Ali. He definately needed at least a couple more fights previous to this to get in the kind of fighting shape that he would need to beat Frazier.

  • @Bloufo I don't think so, he allways had problems with Frazier, only reason he won the rematch so convinsingly was because the referee didn't do anything about him holding behind Joe's head. The few times he did do something, he broke them apart, the other referee's simply took his hand down.

This made it impossible for Frazier to do the bodywork he did in the first and the third fight.

He hadn't much left for the third fight, but still was close to KO'ing ali in 7, 8, 9 and 10.

  • @primeboxers Yeah you're right about that 2nd fight. Ali held on to Frazier to such an extent that it completely neutralized Joe's attack. The ref that evening was hearing bells before the actual bell sounded to end that 2nd round, and overall I thought, as you have pointed out, that he just didn't do his job with the illegal holding tactics of Ali. I think Frazier later made the comment "I was held so much during that fight that if I had any money on me it would have been stolen" lol

  • Ty for uploading

  • @BoxingPride you're welcome. remember to subscribe, and I'll upload the rest :D

  • finally the greatest fight ever can be seen.

  • @rediculousnicholas yes, I was quite supprised when I discovered that the fight was not allready on youtube. But now it will be, the rest is coming soon.
