"I'm glad that I'm me and not Rick Wakeman" At that point in time a very true statement. Rick was BROKE to the point of homelessness. Can you imagine that? Jesus!
@toneshards I AM a fan of the Rabin era, but yeah, in this documentary (not necessarily this clip) he does sound a bit.. cocky or something. Seems so much nicer later on. Steve Howe certainly didn't take the high road, though..
Still cannot get over Brian Lane manipulating Tony into signing away his royalties..typical of so many unscrupulous managers..David Geffen did the same thing, and worse yet with the songwriters' publishing rights as well as royalties, to The Eagles (who sued him) and to the late laura Nyro, who never spoke to Geffen ever again), Jon's reaction when asked about Brian says it all. Unbelievable.
On a better note, love hearing Trevor take such an intelligent, ardent, & proud stand & viewpoints and share his insights about the deep musicology and sensibilities, artistry of his 1st record versus the advent of punk music,..
and at 14:05 taking on the hard core Yes purists for their huge misconception about Yes selling out when in fact & if anything, they advanced and furthered, stretched & evolved their artistry, creative direction, focus, & musicality in that the band "got together for one purpose, to make music...
and especially at 10:00 when he discusses Apartheid in S. Africa & here Trevor was collaborating with & producing black musicians & he had to witness and anguish in how they suffered under its intolerance, in a government system he wa adamantly against for the right reasons. Wonderful that Trevor always takes a stand for what he believes in, people's rights, music, purpose, & life. What amazing depth of integrity and moral fiber & character.

Tony never sung but his voice sounds better than the rest. I am surprised he didn't sing he does have a D.J.'s voice but so did David Bowie.

Damn, they REALLY hate Brian Lane, though he does deserve it. He was such a douche bag to to poor Tony.
