The "child" is in his second year at the Naval Academy. We set up this scene to help him with a film he was making. He throws exceptionally well and finds great humor in the comments he reads here about those that don't.
I have trouble seeing the humor in this.. Perhaps I am not as patient, but I am wondering if perhaps the child needs some help to make his own pot and be proud of a positive thing he does instead of a destructive thing.. Yes, class is fun - but it could be more fun if the child had something to show for his efforts... Can he throw a good pot?
