its neither safe or cheap - tepco have been over charging for the last 10 years. further they have no plan or viable solution what to do with all the plutonium that has accumulated - they have built a light water reactor in Aomori thats supposed to burn MOX fuel but it turns out these dont actually work - at best you get break even - it will produce as much plutonium as it burns.
