The main ingredient in Truvia is erythritol from GMO corn, and the remaining ingredients are rebiana - a SINGLE stevioside from the stevia leaf - and "natural flavors" (MSG, anyone?).
@TinFoilChefDotCom You can get it at shop rite. Here's the site idealsweet(dot)com. Very close taste to sugar and no awful aftertaste. It's also cheaper then truvia and promotes bone growth and healthy teeth.
@mrpower328 I know. I'm not worried about that. If i'm still alive from all the crappy fast food i ate in the past that made me want to go on a diet then a little percentage of splenda in my sweetener won't kill me. Plus if i die i don't have to work anymore!
@TheUnbiasedGamer Date sugar is the best alternative for baking. I like Stevia. You also said you don't have to work anymore when you die, that's not true, you will be working for that man in the red suit called the Devil, or you will be working for that gray old bearded man in the sky called God. lol
@barrybear2011 Actually i was using stevia for a bit in my coffee and i liked it at first but as time went along i started to think it tasted really bad. It's weird it normally is the other way around but i went from liking it to hating it. I was using truvia. Although replacing sugar with something else allowed me to lose 30 lbs so i'm really happy about that. I've kept it off for a while and now i don't care for sugar and i have kept up on my diet for about a year. It's not easy at first.
@ProplaysProductions I should also note that it took me three days to get it just right. I keep it that way by not taking it down ever. Though I'm gonna have to take it down soon... it hasn't been washed in over a year.
Never used it before-- we usually use xylitol (from the health food shop) or Stevia (in micro amounts, and only in the little pill form-- not the jar). Thanks for the update!
yeh.. all those surgars.. splenda, truvia, aspartame, etc give me headaches, really bad ones.. just like msg(mainly in chinese foods) give me headaches - guess its a family gene - and i don't really like the taste anyway - also this may 'seem' healthier but its not(health wise) - calories are not what make you unhealth, stuff like this is - if you eat right you can be 500 pounds and be as healthy as a person who ways 200

@TheUnbiasedGamer Ideal has Splenda hidden in it. Read the label, its not 100% Xylitol

@mrpower328 I can't afford stevia. Especially at the amounts of sweeteners i consume.

@TheUnbiasedGamer Look for Stevita Supreme on Amazon. It's VERY affordable.
