  • Just like the Jews thought of Abraham as their father you make mary your mother.

Joh 8:39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

Likewise if ye were Mary's children then ye would do the works of Mary, where she was rejoicing when she got the Son of God.

Joh 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see MY day: and he saw it, and was glad.

FOCUS ON JESUS JESUS JESUS AND ONLY JESUS

  • If you pray to a saint, you turn him into a pseudo god. There is only One true God, His son is Jesus Christ the only name on Earth that can save a soul!!! Luckily Mary is spared and not aware of the fact that ignorant people worship her on Earth!

  • Anyone knows Math? God does know Mathematics. Why is Mary Called the title : Mother of God?. Question: *God= Father + Son + Holy Spirit (Amen) Example: Father = Son = Holy spirit (Amen) Question: If Mary = Mother + God*. Example: (mother of God) Then: Does Mary = Mother of Father + Mother of Son + Mother of Holy Spirit? See when you say Son of God you mean Son=God But when you say Mother of God then it means Mother=God is that anywhere in the Bible? Who invented that?
  • @thelordz72 trinity doesn' t exactly(and solely) mean Father + Son + Holy Spirit. Instead,

    HolySpirit= GOD.

    Father= GOD.

    Son(Christ)=GOD.

    Still Father+Son+Holy Spirit = GOD.

All three on their own are equal to God. Likewise all three together are equal to God. That' s the mystery.

  • @thelordz72 With that, it is clear how Mary can rightfully be called the " Mother of God". She is the Mother of Christ. Christ is God. therefore she is the Mother of God. Kapish?

  • @a2j93 @a2j93

Show me scripture that proves your statement, not just blindly copy someone else's statement.

do you even know what does GOD means?

if you only have one scripture, or it does not say "mother of god" or if Jesus did not say (MY MOTHER)in the whole Bible then it's not enough, you are breaking God's command, aka playing with his words, aka reducing God's Glory..

Take in consideration to prove your point by this guideline:

Mat 18:16 ( testimony of 2 or three)

    Good luck

  • @thelordz72 Trinity is not in the Bible, but any learned Christian knows what trinity is. You show me in the Bible where trinity = Father+Son+Holy Spirit alone. Jesus is God. Mary gave birth to Jesus. God Chose Mary to be Jesus' mother. Mary is Jesus mother. So if Mary is Jesus mother and Jesus=God, therefore calling Mary the mother of God is accurate. In fact it indirectly glorifies Jesus as it recognizes his divinity while on earth.

  • Mark 3:31-35 There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him. And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee. And he answered them, saying,

Who is my mother, or my brethren? And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For WHOSOEVER shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

  • @Birdseed72 "If anyone denies the Blessed Virgin is indeed Theotokos, or truly the Bearer of God, let him be anathema." The Council of Ephesus.

  • @a2j93 If you don't have anything to say don't waste my time.

  • @TheSacredHeart2 Don't be like that. I just find the strictness of the Catholic church in earlier times a tad amusing. I'm Catholic, and indeed it could be argued that anathema is in the Bible; in many places in fact.

  • @Birdseed72 and so? That only means doing God' s will makes you a child of God. That statement in no way relegates Mary's favoured status among Christians.

  • @a2j93 Friend, where in the bible can we read about "Mary's favoured status among Christians"?

  • imagine God being circumcised (Luke 2:21) Who would have thought?

  • Please read in the Bible Matthew 12:46-50

  • ....Mary is dead and waits in the ground to be ressurected....as the bible says. Female worship is not taught in the bible.

  • thank you for the wonderful video.

i hope i can dowload this for my ministry.

  • Thank you for the beautiful reminder of just how much Our Father has adorned us with so great a Mother!

Our Lady, Mother of Tender Mercy...Ora pro nobis!

  • The Cult of Isis, an Egyptian mother-goddess religion, was absorbed into Christianity by replacing Isis with Mary.

Many of the titles that were used for Isis, such as Queen of Heaven, Mother of God, and theotokos (God-bearer) were attached to Mary.

Mary was given an exalted role in the Christian faith, far beyond what the Bible ascribes to her, in order to attract Isis worshippers to a faith they would not otherwise embrace.

Worshipping a wrong concept of God is idolatry.

  • @ImagesByDavid such conspiracy...

Daniel calls Nebuchadnezaar the King of Kings. Still, that title was given to Jesus. That a title(and not a name) was given to something not of God, but later was given to something of God by his faithful, does not in anyway change the concept of the thing odf God.

  • @a2j93

Hello, not being smart but that made no sense...you would need to rewrite it again..

  • @ImagesByDavid which comment exactly/

  • @a2j93

    you are kidding right?

  • @ImagesByDavid ok. I' m saying that if a pagan called Baal the King of Kings in the old testament, does that mean jesus who came to earth later cannot be rightd=fully called the King of Kings because Baal has already been called that?

  • @a2j93

Baal was a false god..Jesus proved that He was worthy of such a Title...one of many that was given to Him that belonged to the God of Abraham..

  • I am curious as to why when quoting the CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH only the word "Catechism" is used. And no further reference is made when quoting the Roman Missal. Please forgive my ignorance. I mean no disrespect. I love that you show in the vid the perspectives of the greatest saints, Popes, the Orthodox Church, etc... The iconography is beautiful and the chant divine. Thank you for posting. All my love and God Bless You.

  • Hi EveAngela, thanks for your comment and question. It is because I made these videos for a Catholic Summer school (Hearts Aflame: search for it in youtube, there are some other promotional videos for the school - I didn't make them), so I thought the exact reference wasn't necessary for the particular purpose.

  • May I chip in here and say also, that there is only one Catchism - that is, the teaching of the Faith. The Catechism of the Catholic Church (C.C.C.) is really only one written account of it, and there are many 'Catechisms', which are instances of written outlines of the doctrine of the Faith. The Catechism itself is in fact an invisible T/tradition, just as the Faith itself is invisible, but real. And the Church (official) and the Pope, are responsible for it's oversite.

    Pax Christi,

    Phil

  • Wow, thanks so much.

    Peace & God bless.

    Sandy
