Misery was first recorded in the UK by Kenny Lynch.

It was quite common in the early sixties for John and Paul to provide songs for British artistes before including them on their own albums. Billy J Kramer and The Rolling Stones were amongst those who benefited from this.

These clips were taken in 1964, a year after "Misery." The actual song being recorded here is "Things We Said Today."
