@fantafanta Most likely. Larger instruments always require more breath support than smaller instruments. An exception would be how a typical soprano flute requires more breath support than a tuba/sousaphone in a marching band...which, in turn, the soprano flute takes less breath than the larger flutes (and yes, there are larger flutes).
