    Their almost the same; with a squat thrust you don't jump, just stand and then go back down.

  • Burpees are killers - they've always been my least favourite exercise for exactly the same reason they are such a great exercise to do !

  • That's another variation. Others have the push up more defined, also spreading and bringing in the legs before the push up, using DBs and doing renagde rows prior to the push up, and the modified version also known as the squat thrust. These add a little spice the routine. Thanks for all your vids.

  • dude, you kick ass. I have gotten so many different exercises from your channel that helped me create my own workout schedule. And on top of that, watching your videos keeps me focused on what I want to accomplish!

  • Yep, burpees. I love doing them, my unit hates me because I tell them to do 10 in a row. Sure they suck, but the more anyone does then, the fitter you'll get and the easier it will be.

    Help!!

    I have got a shoulder injury since yesterday.. How can I take care of it, so I can go to the gym again... :S

    I was doing benchpress when it happend, it happend to my right shoulder

  • @FrietjeM you may have strained your rotator cuff. I was benching and now both my shoulders hurt. I think if you just lay off the benching and rest it will go away

  • at the police academy my buddies got punished and had to do 1 hour of burpees with no more than 3 sec in between. 1 min water break every 15 minute. some almost died hahaha. not all about getting super jacked. its about being in shape. its great to be strong and all but if you cant catch the motherfucker those 70lbs curls wont do nothing for you. Street soldier baby! troop 101!

  • Holy frik, these are tough!, i tried to do the 50 under 2 minutes, but barely got to 20 before i got dizzy. But i will keep trying to do them. Great video Scott.

  • Oh this would be killer if some weighted bands were added! I wouldn't do it to build muscle but just to test myself. This one is not to have bulging muscles but to be (in the words of Chris Krueger) a fit, fast and strong all natural athlete. Not to just look buff but to actually have control over Your body!

The nasty comments here remind me of those who'd walk in, see one brief moment of exercise and imagine they knew "all about" what we did and why? At a point, you lose your anger at their ignorance and begin to smile instead at their blatant stupidity. Just yesterday, in fact, I was with a young man, who's paying someone fairly big bucks, to show him exactly what you're sharing today (& more) for nothing to all. Thanks!!!

  • don't be fooled by this exercise!! its crazy!! add o it by doing a jump burpee and you must do it for 10reps along with 10 situps, 10 press ups and 10 squats. 30sec rest after the hole circuit and go again. you will be finished!

  • Never again. I used to love burpees, until I was doing an advanced version and screwed up my lower-back and was out of action for 5 months. They are a great exercise though, if done properly. I don't advice working out in a garage during winter. lol

  • Burpees look extremely difficult for me to do because I have bad joints. However, I can sit back and watch you do it all day (you have a nice body). *Don't judge*

  • I am very disappointed in the EXTREMELY ignorant comments I am reading. Many of you need to stop being so close minded about fitness & realize that NOT every exercise is a body building exercise. I look the way I do for a reason & I do my best to show you guys new stuff to challenge your fitness capabilities. Just because you are afraid of a challenge doesn't mean you should be spewing your hate here. I bet the trolls here couldn't even finish 50 burpees in under 2minutes.

I'm an NASM/ACE certified trainer, and, as a subscriber to your videos, I frequently borrow a movement or technique for use with my own clients. You're putting good information out there, clearly explained, and offering it free. The Youtube community (and fitness enthusiasts as a whole) benefit from your videos. Many thanks - and keep it up!
