my rabbit has never been around another rabbit before and has tiny bumps on her stomach their like nipples?(i dont no what they are!) im very worried and sometimes she pulls out her fur or gathers up her hay in her mouth! please help! reply as soon as possible! Xx
@dejay2k8 hello my 5 months old female bun does that about once every 1-2 weeks. If your bun reaches sexual maturity, the hormone will kicks in and she could have false pregnancy - thats when they started to pull out thier hair and gathering hays to make a nest. She will act like as if she is really pregnant. having said that the only way to help her is to bring her to the rabbit specialised vet to get her spayed. Spaying her will decrease her chances of getting uterus cancer.
@dejay2k8 Uterus cancer is the silent killer for them. Most female bunnies die from uterus cancer around 3 years old. In nature rabbits do not live this long to suffer from this disease but domestic rabbits live much longer. SPayed rabbits would be tamer, easier to be litter trained and calmer. My bun is going to be spayed next month :)
