What's wrong, Senator Corker? Did President Obama fail to contribute to your political campaign like loyal friends W. Allan Jones, Check Into Cash, and Jones Management? We all know your votes are bought and paid for by the payday lending industry, as well as big banks like Bank of America and Wachovia -- who, coincidentally, also provide the funding for Check Into Cash and W. Allan Jones. Nice job! You need to resign.
I could have a modicum of respect for Senator Bob Corker if her weren't such a paid lapdog for the payday lending industries. W. Allan Jones, Check Into Cash, and Jones Management, plus friends, workers, and relatives of the aforementioned, have all contributed nicely to boost Senator Bob Corker's bank account and buy his senatorial vote. Why let your morals be sold so cheaply, Senator Bob Corker? W. Allan Jones isn't worth your integrity.
Vote this "Pro-Rape", "C-Street" supporter out of office. I know the Republicans are the party of "No" right now, but to vote for big business over the rights of a rape victim? Well, now I have seen it all. This fuck is one of 30 that voted no on the Franken amendment. UNBELIEVABLE! TRULY!
The real DEATH PANELS are the insurance companies that deny a person coverage or raise peoples rates because of pre-existing conditions.
Having a public option keeps the private insurance companies more honest and drives cost down. Without a public option, cost will more than likely stay up.
Fox News, many Republican lawmakers, Lou Dobbs, Beck and Limbaugh are spreading lies about death panels and health care in general.

It's really sad that most people talk about the 700B and now the additional 800B as if it's nothing and just blindly say "yes we can" just because. The time for groupies mentality is over people, the election is over. It's president Obama now which is much better than Pressiden Mccai, but please be critical especially when the government is taking 10K from each American to bail out the people, wall street, etc. that got us in this mess.
CORKER voted for Tim GEITHNER as Treasury Sec which proves that CORKER is another UNTRUSTWORTHY politician working AGAINST We The People. Geithner cheated on his taxes for years but was placed in the job nevertheless.
True. Corker is one of the few, if the only one elected, who answer your letters, emails, etc. No form letters with him. He addresses concerns with specifics and common sense.
Republicans were right to vote this down! You don't stimulate a economy by creating welfare or social programs. You don't stimulate the economy by giving money to states like CA who can't balance there budget. You don't stimulate a economy by creating more government taxpayers have to support. We are becoming more dependant on government to solve problems when they are historically only good at creating them! Capitalism made this country great not socialism. We have enslaved ourselves our kids!
boguslife, your so right. Let companies built a better product or provide a better service and they'll make money. That's a free market system. If company CEO's cared about their company and their employees they'd forgo those big bonuses and keep people employed.
Corker where were every fiber of your body when YOU were allowing Bush to "print money" and give it to the greedy rich. Admit it you have no solution.
Anyone notice how he used a lot of trivial and silly words to describe stimulus plan. Poor hacking skills. Can the GOP at least act like they care about the people?
The republicans were right to vote this bill down. It is only going to make things worse. You don't stimulate a economy by creating more welfare and social programs. You don't stimulate a economy by creating larger government for tax payers to support. You don't stimulate a economy by giving money to states that can't budget there money like CAlifornia, they will just spend it and need more later that you and I will be paying interest on later.
Corker has been saying the same truths since elected. Giving 5.2 Billion to Acorn is not an economic necessity. It is purely a political activist plan for one party and that is the far left. Only small business can create the jobs, and; without access to capital, no one can start a business much less expand an existing business.
The So called Recovery Act is nothing short of wealth redistribution coupled with massive debt that your kid's own kid's will be be saddled with. Jobs do not = Gov.

Like say, a reduction in the payroll tax, as some have suggested, which would affect those with small payrolls best? Or a tax cut on pension funds, like a tax cut on businesses, which most invest their pensions in.
All of the GOP voted against the stimulus plan. Not one vote.. What a bunch of lemings. What ever happened to using your brain and voting your individual beleifs. Oh yeah, the climate in Washington is changing, lol what a joke
If Dems want to stimulate the economy, let working people have a tax-free period of three to six months. That way they won't be spending money they don't have.

Fed debt per person: $58K
Un-funded Medicare/Medicaid per person: $332K
Fed's plundered trusts per person: $30K
Un-funded SS: $166K
Every American owes: $586K for FED debt
Gov grows 4 Xs faster than economy
Fed spending grows 16 times faster than economy, (16 fold expansion in control & gov dependence)
The US gov now holds 57% share of entire National Income = Government makes more than all the money made in private sector!
How long does the USA honestly think it will last?

Stimulus leads to inflation and higher taxes down the road.
Government spending is highly ineffective at stimulating the economy.
What would stimulate the economy is credible expectation that taxes and deficits would be lower for the long term.
But neither D's nor R's could be credible if they claimed they would be doing this.
Bush was a big government socialist.
Obama is also a big government socialist.
