  • Davy is the best he taught me that life is about sacrifice and fighting for what you believe in, and that's why Davy Crocket is my favorite hero. I love him in a brotherly way. He's my hero and I don't know how much to thank him for what he taught me....

  • Best Part Of The Whole Movie!!!!

  • David crockett he was a bandito miserible

  • "Its amazing what a little harmony will do."

  • Ustedes son imperialistas.

  • @demarkacion and Mexico is dirt poor. Wheres your Napoleon of the west now!

  • Billy Bob nailed that role!!!

  • has anyone the notes for this?? please

  • Una escene muy bien lograda, me gusta mucho, pero lamentablemente se realiza en un contexto muy triste para los mexicanos. Yanquis GO HOME.

  • @demarkacion

Go where? The USA IS our home.

  • @demarkacion .pero santa ana les pateo el trasero a esos mercenarios.santa ana fue el pancho villa de esa epoca.viva mexico.

  • I just would like to say that there are great heroes in the USA, like Abraham Lincoln and so many others, but this Davy Crockett was just a greedy Filibuster. I hope he had killed Santa Anna though, but guess what, Crockett died because Sam Houston sacrificed him, man, Sam Houston was really smart he finished off 2 enemies almost on the same day.

    Bravo Sam Houston!

  • @rayitodagi10 hey asshole do you even read history before you go throwing names around about historically iconic figures? who the fuck are you to say Davy Crockett was a greedy filibuster? just from your comment i can tell Davy was a better man than you are. he has done more for this country than you will ever know. he was a US sneate member AND congressman. he believed his actions and intentions were pure and honest. there couldnt have been a more noble, cleaner man to have ever lived.

  • its BECAUSE of Davy Crockett that we won Texas away from mexico. if it werent for him Texas wouldnt be part of the united states. id like to see your faggot ass go back in time and do HALF the shit he did. dont be so fucking stupid and say shit about people BEFORE you know who they are or what they were. Davy Crockett died defending the Alamo from the mexicans because he wanted to make a difference.... NOT because Sam Houston sacrificed him. wtf is wrong with you?

  • Respond to this video... you think sam houston is such a badass? When Santa Anna finally broke through the heroic American defenses at the Alamo, Davy Crockett was found with 26 mexicans dead around him and he had a broken arm. where does that leave your ill gathered facts about sam houston or anything you know about this? so get your goddamn facts right and dont go LYING about one of this country's GREATEST heroes!!

  • @FallenAngel942 Excuse me FallenAngel....may I respond? REMEMBER THE ALAMO!!!!!!!!!! EVERY single person in the battle of the Alamo was and STILL are heroes..... Davy Crockett was not greedy but as you said it, he was a great man that desrves respect and honor from us for all eternity for his contributions and sacrifices he made for a better place in this world for generations to come. I apologize for interrupting, but had to say that. :)

  • Is there somewhere i can download the soundtrack of this movie? i really want it

  • Guys seriously, the Mexicans were 300 yards away from the Alamo, so David Crocket couldn't have played the violin cause it'll be impossible to hear it from that distance. The Mexicans would've killed Crocket in plain sight.

Just think of David Crocket as a guy that got in the Alamo by mistake with a whole bunch of bull shit lies of him riding on a thunder bolt or flying to space and back in like a day, and some battles of him in his backround with the indians..... Eh it's the truth...

  • @pandasoul1 300 yards is far to much for a musket to kill a person. (If you're lucky enough to hit him, it would just bounds of the body). A rifle could maybe kill him, but as far as I know, there were no rifles in the Mexican army

  • @ViccardXViccc Oh i just guessed on the 300 yards, but the rest of the stuff i said there is true.

  • Remembering my ancestor, Robert B. Moore (New Orleans Greys), & all the other freedom fighters who gave their lives this day, March 6th, 1836, in defense of a small Spanish mission in Tejas called The ALAMO.

....at the beginning of this scene, you will note a man sitting behind Crockett & his friend, who is wearing the uniform of a New Orleans Grey & petting a collie dog.

Robert B. Moore being channeled? ;-)

  • I am saying im born in Texas and i will die in Texas under that Lone Star state that these Brave men helped us get. Amen.

  • get tears in my eyes everytime i watch this, im proud to have lived in texas for 5 years.

  • Does anyone know the name and composer of the song Crockett is playing ? I know it's not Deguello. I play the violin and would love to be able to learn this !

  • @DavyCrockettFan1 I honestly think it's something Billy Bob Thornton or some developer came up with as a Harmony piece to the Deguello. No song..just Harmony. It's not hard to follow a tune and do harmony. It WORKS in this case. I wish it was the real truth, I love the scene. I'm an archeologist who worked on the Alamo, and believe Crockett survived the battle only to be executed afterwards.

  • @Hemlat -- this event of Crockett playing a duet w/ the Mexican musicians is based on one of the many stories/legends to have come out of the siege of the Alamo. Another, which I wish was included in the film, is his playing duets with a Scotsman on bagpipes by the name of MacGregor.

  • Awesome song

  • Maybe we should show some harmony and peace to stop the fights we're in now.

  • First of all, there was no such thing as Texans. The so called Texans were actually American and European settlers. The only Tejanos were Mexicans born in Tejas, just like Californios born in California. These "Texans" were rebels and terrorists who turned against the country that accepted them within its territory.

  • @UlisesZ1986

Texans were freedom fighters fighting the tyranny of Santa Ana's dictatorship and mexican oppresion.

    Remember the Alamo!

  • that one dislike was probably a mexican who still thinks they won the war

  • Why would 189 men try to defend a small fort against overwhelming odds? It was like 5,400 against 189. Why? It could almost be called...suicide. The smart thing to do would have been to slash and run...slash and run and live to fight another day

It is amazing to me that 189 men chose to stand there and be slaughtered when they could have used guerrilla tactical warfare...again like I said...slash and run...slash and run

  • @MatrixFactoryGuy Honor had a different meaning back then...meant enough to stand your ground even when it was a losing battle, because they felt that defined them as men more than slash and run. Just my $0.02.

  • @herrweave Sixty years prior to the Alamo there was something called the Revolutionary War and many during that time used guerilla tactics..including George Washington and those boys from New Hampshire forget his name..Ethan something. So I am not buying into this honor thing and they fought different back then....yes in some cases u right...but they had a choice to slash n run..and did not because they were surrounded like fools

  • @MatrixFactoryGuy if the Alamo fell so does Texas. they knew that the alamo was inportant and simply the thought of runing is the way of the coward they were no cowards they were heros and men that did there duties even knowing that they were aboud to die REMEMBER THE ALAMO!!

  • @MatrixFactoryGuy the Texans fought in 4 battles during the revolution they wononly one 1 battle, the last one and if they didn't win that one they would fight till they would win so in summary the 2 battles before the final confrontation fueled the Texans pushing them to freedom

  • @OrgaMaster

Not quite. They won the Siege of Bexar, the Battle of Concepcion, the Battle of Lipantitlan, and the first battle of Goliad.

  • Davy Crockett would have not played the fiddle like that

  • @LostintheHoller how do you know that for sure?

  • @TheIcelandicPatriot Can't know for absolutley sure I guess but whoever played that violin in this clip is a classicaly trained violinist which I'm pretty sure Davey Crockett was not. He would have been playing Scot-Irish reels and Jigs. Folk fiddling most likely without vibrato and those wild double stops.

  • If I was going to die in a shoot out with the cops I would love to die to this song.

  • @dthompson760 And i would love to listen to this song as we gunned you down jk. I am training to be a cop lol

  • Why did Santa-Anna have to kill a guy who can play beatiful music?!?

  • @demeandr121 cause Santa Anna had a small penis and was uber jealous of Crocketts massive schlong :/

  • This scene is texas, think about it the mexicans signal death and the Texans play the counterpoint.

  • God Bless Teaxs

  • If you want to see the rest of this scene just look up "The Alamo- Davy Crockett playing Violin." :))

  • Did this really happen? Probably not. The true story of the Alamo, whether it's the Mexican or Norte Americano version, has been superceded by the myths both cultures have decided to accept. But I like this little scene because it gives both sides some humanity.

  • @twobluehorses it was Crocketts bottom line in the scene

  • Instead of epic fail... this is an EPIC WIN!!!

  • Best part of the movie

  • @SwordsmanMercenary thats so true

  • one word though- "Crockett"

  • i like the guys face at 1:38

  • An old saying...."Music hath charms to soothe a savage breast, to soften rocks, or bend a knotted oak"....William Congreve

  • An old saying...."Music hath charms to soothe a savage breast"......William Congreve

  • does anyone know where I can find out how to play this on the violin/fiddle?

  • this is just a tribute to how people can still communicate and share things, even in the midst of war

  • i love it from 1:00 to the end of the video ^.^ that was amazing!!! OMG!! 0.o!!

  • THIS SCENE ROCKS!

  • this was my favorite scene :D

  • haha billy bob thorton goes all amazing from 1:32 to the rest of the vid lol

  • I love how mexicans are absolutely amazed at his ending. I can bet that if Santa Anna say fire, they wont fire. Absolutely masterpiece!!!

Sorry for my English, I am from CZ.

  • i love this

  • This is my favourite scene of the entire movie. It's just so beautiful.

  • i want to play this so bad

  • this is a good touch for playing violens

  • Man, that´s best song ever!!! Crocket was a hero of the west...

  • He's my hero.(:

He was my hero since I was 4.

  • @m0pedist4 The Mexicans captured Crocket. They say that Crocket swung his rifle at the Mexicans and killed 2 of them. Fortunately William Travis's slave saw everything in the Battle of The Alamo and witness David Crocket beg for his life, instead of the swinging rifle part. Plus the Alamo was more in the East other than the West.

  • @pandasoul1 One of Santa Anna's servants, a liberated slave, claimed that Crockett's body was surrounded by no less then 16 bodies.

  • Look man David Crockett playing the fiddle b4 a soon to be cannon barrage, really happened. They wouldnt have shot him because of his bravery. bravery was something respected back in those days. during the 13 day seige of the alamo, there was one days peace, like during WWI when both sides quit shooting at one another and sat down to have christmas dinner with one another. Then went right back to the bloodshed. It was because of David Crockett that they had this one days peace
