It was black on black with black rims. It was a beast! The torque was bad.....I would go like 40 mph and hit the gas and it would fishtail. That was my only issue. He said he would give me 16K for my 04' Lightning. The challenger was 37K. I am thinking about it!

I had the Mustang out at the track last night. It was running really hard but the track was slippery, so i couldnt get good traction. It still ran an 11.57 on street tires and rims hot lapping it.
There were two Dodges there. One was a purple Challenger R/T. he ran 14.6 and thena black Charger SRT ran an 14.6 also. I was not impressed with those cars but I think both were stock.
Both the R/T and SRT8 run faster then that. Stock the SRT8 Charger should run low 12's high 11's in the quarter and the Challenger R/T should run 12.5 or so depending on transmissions. (5 spd auto or 6 spd tremec). The GT Mustang does weigh significantly less and stock is a little quicker but 14's are rediculious on an R/T and especially an SRT8. Take it from a Dodge salesman who know what these cars can do!!!

Something Ford doesn't have yet but will wilth the SHO Taurus that will get it's ass handed to it by the Charger. When it does come out.

The racer on the challenger didnt bring it to its potential. A mustang Bullitt cant beat an SRT8, i fail to see how a GT could. The only way the GT would win, is if it was HEAVILLY modified, and there wasnt anything special posted.
Did you read the mods on either car or is reading English beyond? Seriously pay more attention. SRT8 Challengers are mid 13 second cars which are about on par with a 5-speed Mustang GT.
The Mustang had a Kenne Bell supercharger. Easily bringing it's horsepower up to the 450 rwhp range depending on tuning. With the GT at about 3,450 lbs, and the Challenger at 4,100 pounds, the GT had a MUCH greater advantage over the Challenger.
Challengers seem to lose every race posted on youtube. They start slow every time. Doesn't matter though, I'm still gonna find a way to get one. They're pretty sweet, and I'm not a racer, I'm a pacer.

Long tube headers/exhaust, torque converter, tune, etc?!?! Plus the dealer mark up puts the price in the mid-forties. A "turd" stock $30,000 LS2 GTO runs mid-low 13's stock. Even the "heavier" G8 runs 13.60's -70's.
Yup, on a SEA LEVEL track. A hundred degree day and if the driver doesn't know what he is doing and power brakes too hard and spins the tires it won't. A good tuner(there's plenty of bad ones) will be able to knock 4 tenths just by re-curving the torque management and upping the shift points so it doesn't shift into 4th gear too soon and kill the time. Average times should be 13:70's-80's bone stock. Most of the mags show this(the real ones) and check out last years "GMHIGHTECHPERFORMANCE".
Also go to the track and see who can drive. The G8 GXP runs 13:00's - 13:30's and this is from one of the slower mags like "Road and Track".
They're ATI Procharged ones too with nothing else done but the system running 11 flat at almost 130MPH. Tens might be possible with more boost but the trans might not.
They tested the same system and boost level on the SRT8 and it only ran a high eleven.
FlatoutDodge, again, you failed to see the modifications on the Chally listed. REMEMBER..the FAT SRT8 starts OUT with 425, the Mustangs mods just even that out then factor in the MODS the CHALLY had and presto, not a horribly weighted race. And BTW, the Chally looks better than the new Camaro, but the Mustang looks better than both, just check the sales numbers.

HP wise they are not close, stock GT is 300hp, stock challenger is 425. you toss a kenne bell on a gt and your well over 400hp in a much lighter car. even if the challenger had headers and a tune and a intake it wouldnt matter, but again based on the time its bone stock.
The mods are listed on the video. Are you trying to say it wasnt modded? The Mustang GT put 512 RWHP down on a 3800 pound car. The Chally with mods maybe has 400 RWHP (guestimate) and weighs 500 pounds more. The Challenegr could not run this 13.0 without mods.

actually GTO do 0-60 in 4.6 and quater in 13 flat or in a 4spd auto high 12...iv never seen a stock GT come close to those numers.

I had the Mustang out at the track last night. It was running really hard but the track was slippery, so i couldnt get good traction. It still ran an 11.57 on street tires and rims hot lapping it.
There were two Dodges there. One was a purple Challenger R/T. he ran 14.6 and thena black Charger SRT ran an 14.6 also. I was not impressed with those cars but I think both were stock.

Both the R/T and SRT8 run faster then that. Stock the SRT8 Charger should run low 12's high 11's in the quarter and the Challenger R/T should run 12.5 or so depending on transmissions. (5 spd auto or 6 spd tremec). The GT Mustang does weigh significantly less and stock is a little quicker but 14's are rediculious on an R/T and especially an SRT8. Take it from a Dodge salesman who know what these cars can do!!!

A true proffesional can get high 12's out of a stock SRT8. So yes I was a little off in my assessment. The Charger is a 4 door sports/muscle car. Something Ford doesn't have yet but will wilth the SHO Taurus that will get it's ass handed to it by the Charger. When it does come out.

agreed. From the factory it's a 13sec car at best due to weight issues. Now throw in a supercharger or turbo kit and you'll hit 11's with proper tuning. Port the heads and throw in a good cam and you'll have more.

The Mustang had a Kenne Bell supercharger. Easily bringing it's horsepower up to the 450 rwhp range depending on tuning. With the GT at about 3,450 lbs, and the Challenger at 4,100 pounds, the GT had a MUCH greater advantage over the Challenger.

Yup, on a SEA LEVEL track. A hundred degree day and if the driver doesn't know what he is doing and power brakes too hard and spins the tires it won't. A good tuner(there's plenty of bad ones) will be able to knock 4 tenths just by re-curving the torque management and upping the shift points so it doesn't shift into 4th gear too soon and kill the time. Average times should be 13:70's-80's bone stock. Most of the mags show this(the real ones) and check out last years "GMHIGHTECHPERFORMANCE".

Also go to the track and see who can drive. The G8 GXP runs 13:00's - 13:30's and this is from one of the slower mags like "Road and Track".
They're ATI Procharged ones too with nothing else done but the system running 11 flat at almost 130MPH. Tens might be possible with more boost but the trans might not.
They tested the same system and boost level on the SRT8 and it only ran a high eleven.
this was done by ATI so there is no bias.

FlatoutDodge, again, you failed to see the modifications on the Chally listed. REMEMBER..the FAT SRT8 starts OUT with 425, the Mustangs mods just even that out then factor in the MODS the CHALLY had and presto, not a horribly weighted race. And BTW, the Chally looks better than the new Camaro, but the Mustang looks better than both, just check the sales numbers.

The mods are listed on the video. Are you trying to say it wasnt modded? The Mustang GT put 512 RWHP down on a 3800 pound car. The Chally with mods maybe has 400 RWHP (guestimate) and weighs 500 pounds more. The Challenegr could not run this 13.0 without mods.
