keaimages: the first tune is 'Lucy Campbell', the second is 'The Mountain Top', the third is 'The Style of Ballylanders' or 'The Reel of Bogie' and the last is 'Gregg's Pipes' or 'Craig's Pipes'.
I'm from the US, and not really Irish, but I can't help tapping feet or getting up and dancing to this. And a shout-out to that piano player working in obscurity behind the fiddler there, because whoever it was nailed this set with beautiful bass lines and spot-on rhythm.
this is really great music, and i know that they are trying to concentrate on remembering: but none of them look happy. at several moments a couple of them even look irritated to be there, which takes a bit of the joy away from the music.
Love this music, I also remember Yorkville, (verry, verry well} Irelands 32 ,116th St in Rockaway and the Red Mill on Jerome Ave in the Bronx , great tallent!
This is great It has been a long time. I remember bands like this on third avenue area of Yorkville. I think it was a place called Ireland's 32. I also remember ceili bands performing in Irish town in the Rockaways. Thanks a million for bringing back the memories.
yad be more lookin fr a drummer than a bodhran player fr a ceili band and ya need an accordion too and a piano wouldnt go astray!!!! where are ya from???
If a person doesn't at least tap a toe to this music....they need to be checked for a pulse, they are probably dead.

I think the serious looks are because it must have been a competition. Too bad, as it takes away from the fun and joy. They sure are great!

Why so serious? It's great music!

Diddley-dee music is the best!
After a Guinness or two (or more!) up at Kate Kearney's in Killarney, I make Flatley look like a ruptured duck!
And a pair of colleens jumped over the broomstick too!
