Actually MG and Morris engines from 1919 to 1952ish were built with metric threads. this was because Morris purchased machinery from a french factory. seems strange that you didn't know this as it can be a costly mistake when rebuilding these engines if you mix up the earlier metric with the later American National Fine that was introduced with the merger with Austin.
