Southwest Trains should not have disposed of these fantastic trains, the Gatwick Express passengers are lucky to have them by far they are miles better then the 450 desiros now userd on the portsmouth line
442423 was not meant to be with Southern, but at the moment only temporary residents with Southern but I think it and 442418 will stay and get the full treatment and their motors are great!
Watch out for a further video coming very soon which will be a part of my "UKTrainMan's Journeys" series featuring what I describe as a "pretty bloody hellfire 442 bash" which I believe was filmed somewhere between Gatwick Airport and Haywards Heath. The 442 was screaming beautifully for most of the video (and journey for that matter). And yes of course their motors are great ;)
