Much to my mothers' consternation i got heavily into the Dubliners wheni was a teenager while also into Death Metal.......My father who was Irish said one day "what's going to happen when they put The Dubliners on stage with Motorhead ?" sigh ...that WOULD have been something.God Bless u R.D.
"All my life I'd never fit into anything." Makes me feel less like a square every time I hear him say that; of course, doesn't change the fact that I AM a square. lol
RIP Ronnie, RIP Gerry. You were both part of my youth in Ireland; three thousand miles away and many years later, I've never forgotten ye. So sad you're both gone now.
i guess we would miss mr.drew a lot and what the say in this vid mr, drew is a legend and that means for the hole group off the dubliners they are all a legend.
Lovely clip. I'm old enough to remember Paddy & Maureen O'Donoghue the owners of O'Donoghues. That was the time that if there wasn't "cúnas" for the singers/musicians you were told politely to finish your drink and leave. ☻ ☺

"Just think of all the obnoxious, swaggering rock singers". I immediately thought of Bono himself.
