Man, how I miss Pavarotti, Barry, and Luther. George Benson sounds as good live as he does on his records, and I thought that the Pavarotti duets with Barry (White) were good (and they were), but this blows them away. This was a brilliant pairing/duet. Bravissimo!

@fishtricker1 I know you are right, Pavarotti was close to his end here and George Bensons voice was so much younger. I went to Milan to see Pavarotti and the Milan Opera House was closed for renovations. He was magnificant. Not long before his death he wanted Kevin Eubanks from Jay Leno's band to play with him when he appeared on the show and Eubanks was so up himself that he wouldn't go on stage with Pavarotti. How do I know this, I was Eubanks PA. What a wanker !

@Nutriloc1 That would be black America and white Italian. However, Pavarotti has a magnificent tenor voice, but he learned to sing notes, but never learned the pathos, which Benson is the king of.

Well, what can I say? I was at the Roxy in Hollywood on October 1st, 1977 and heard George Benson sing this song live. I thought it was the greatest thing ever. When Whitney put out her version, I felt it was a crass ripoff, and I've boycotted her version ever since. But I must say, this version with Pavarotti is something special.
