Is it just me or did the nurse mouth the word "Oh shit" when she saw the president's limo?

This whole scenario was based on the 1981 Reagan assassination attempt: Shots fired at the Presidential party, The President is pushed into his limo, but it is not believed he is hit at first. When his Secret Service agent discovers blood from his mouth, they immediately divert to GWU Hospital - same as what happened in 1981.

the whole scene is, I imagine, pretty realistic. The president is whisked away to the white house, in a later scene we see the VP being taken from the white house, I guess to his own secure location; even the 180 is a tactic used by the secret service and practiced regularly.

That move where Ron sweeps his hand over the President was taken from the real assination attempt on Reagan. His lead agent did the same thing and found blood just like this. They talked about that in the commentaries.

One possibility that hit me was that Ron Butterfield and the President where hit by the same bullet. Ron had his hand on the President as he was pushing him in the limo.

This scene is simply chilling, and it really captures the inside look of what people behind the scenes in the White House must feel like when these assassination attempts happen. Sometimes we forget that the ones working close to the President are real people too and they can feel deeply. This episode does an amazing job of shining on light on the fact that no matter how we think about the people working inside the White House, they are just human beings like us.

The last part of this, in the hospital emergency room is fascinating. When she get the call her first thought is that it's drill. When she sees the Limo drive up you can see her say "Oh shit." What she calls it Blue, all of a sudden doctors are running all out all over the place. I love this scene.

And it's wild seeing a full size limo pulling a fast 180.
