@BlackWereWolfWesker I'm a tall dude, so mine was 20 in'. The one in the video is a wee bit short, but you should measure from the top of your butt to the back of your knee for a good measurement. Hope this helped.

After you painted it, how long did you let the paint sit? After that, did you like.. Wash it off with water? Sorry if this sounds stupid. Haha. I just need to know because I'm making a costume, and I have to paint stripes onto some fur. Please answer? Anyone? xD

@LOLItsAFrenzy with fabric paint it's usually best to let it sit overnight to dry, (probably comb it before it's totally dry though) and you won't have to wash it with water unless it's like a shirt or something o_o (= hope that heleped...

@LOLItsAFrenzy Not long at all, I started combing and blow drying as soon as I got done with painting it. After you do, it will take a few hours to dry. I suggest leaving it on an air vent over night.

For a little bit better results you can stuff the tail even a light bit of stuffing it helps alot. Wat was the width of that fabric before you sewed????

@wolflilania I'm tall, so it was 20in long, 2in wide at the part you fasten to your trousers, 4in wide at the tip, and 6in across the middle. For good length, measure from the top of your butt to the back of your knee, and draw a pattern of how wide you think it needs to be. I think anything over 7in is too wide.

@Urinated1 You're grandmother is right. There is a proper way to tie a knot when you get done sewing. Try tying more than one knot.

@emolove532 After you pull it inside-out when you get done sewing it, sew your keychain as you're sewing up the end of the tail

@brandwynn4evr It's best to do while you're drying it. If you wait until you're done to dry it, it's really difficult and tends to come out in clumps.

You get ten points. I think it would have looked more natural if you stuffed it, and maybe put a length of wire in it to stand it up or curve it a little. I will definatly be using this technique on my Kotaro cosplay, thank you much!
