They put a box there as a placeholder model, for the dragging effect, and just completely left the Party Admission Associate out. Ok, in the level developer you have to have a first person camera attached to something other than a prop. A brush is what they would have used. A brush is something like a wall, floor, or ceiling. Props are like chairs, weapons, fans, pipes, etc.

you actually dont move to the outside, you are still in the GLaDOS room, but a camera (the box) will make it look like you are actually outside. if you noclip just before that happens and fly to this area, you will see yourself. same with the cake room
