LOL these people kill me... on the first lap your tires aren't even warmered up. You should have shot the film on lap three that way you are settled in and the tires and enigine are up to temp. I raced IKF and WKA from 1971 thru 1985.... I ran for CKS Motorsports and Mark Dismore. I ran Stock Appearing, Open Heavy and Open Light. Next stop Daytona ????
Thanks for the kind words. I followed the karting scene very closely from 1990 - 2000 or so, WKA sprint mainly, enduro only because Elkhart is located so close to me. Regardless, I certainly recognize CKS and Mark Dismore's name. I followed and participated in "The Karting Web Site" run by Pete Mueller. I also remember names like Mark Weaverling and Al Nunley (I suspect you may know these names as well). I learned a lot of stuff from those guys, good memories...
loved your video,, looks to me you are doing quite well with limited experienced, you kept the leaders insight, and gained on them with great mid/upper range power. the driving part will come to you, that will be the easy part. the camera could not have helped your aero package. as an ex-karter your video got my heart pumping !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you were as fast or faster than those guys. they were drafting and you were catching them. thanks R M
Nice and you did a good job staying on a straight path through the corners. Your line was not hard for someone behind you to read and you did a great job not getting hurt! A bit of a lag on the drop of the flag, but that can be fixed with a watch. Stay on the throttle in the last few seconds and then the engine won't bog on the start.
Actually I think the clutch was set too high for that race. Notice how long the clutch hangs at the stall speed through and out of turn 6 (the engine pitch sorta wonders). The clutch should be fully engaged at that part of the track.
..really critical to keep the momentum in all racing, but especially in these carts

Your lines aren't that bad even though you seem to lose the apexes.
At least on one occasion you seemed to go in too fast, slide and come out slow.
Just look inexperienced but have generally good basic instincts.
Losing the apexes is normal when inexperienced, too much information to take in all at the same time.
Very nice vid though, thanks.

Nice, I used to race a KT100 SSX at RAKC, the Motor Plex at Road America. Now I'm in a Rotax Rm1. It looks like fun to race on the big track
