You should be getting higher fps then that. On my old Pentium D it says that i could get potentially get 300 fps.. and CSS is very process dependant, not graphics.

My laptop does ~170fps with settings maxed out.... 9700m gt 2ghz core 2 duo, 4g of 800mhz ram

Hmm I've got the same graphic card as you and it crashes when we see the fire, well its random, its not always there but it often froze there, have you any idea on how to fix this problem ?
