  • Hello, can you tell me what is your video card at the moment ? Are you still whit GT 240 ?

  • @rosen97Lewis Not anymore, at this moment Im using Geforce GTS 450 on my PCI Express x16 slot and if I had a PCI Express 2.0 it would give me better results but thats until I build a better PC since Im still using my Gateway FX 7026 since 2008

  • config pc

  • I have dual core 3 ghz,3 gb ram and geforce gt240 1gb ddr3.Can i play gta4 on resolution 1680x1050 and high setings.I play mafia 2 on resolution 1680x1050 and medium setings.Please,answer.Thanks.

  • @fender8732 No I suggest medium in those high resolution and plus this game uses more CPU power then GPU power so it might be even lagging a bit in that resolution. Just try it out when you load a game and see what setting works best for you

  • my 8500GT died :D (kinda) i'll deffinetly buy GT 240 1GB

  • AI is pretty much like Patrick the starfish?

  • hey will i run this on atleast meduim at 50-60 fps?

    PSU:430 watt

    Motherboard:MSI GF615M-P33

    RAM: 4 gigs

    GFX CARD:Gainward GeForce GT240 1GB PhysX CUDA

    HDD:1TB

  • @xav1uz oh and i forgot

PROCESSOR: AMD Athlon II X2 250, Dual Core

fyi: this is a budget pc

  • @xav1uz

Nah only 30fps but on a GTS 450 on medium which I recently purchase I got about 45fps

  • @Jerry4050 ah ok maybe ill get gts 450 myself then

  • nai nai nai nai nai nai nai nai nai nai nai nai

  • LOL! I has a GTS 250 2 GB RAM Vista 32 Bit and Pentium Core 2 E2140 @ 1.6 GHZ (not tunned) and i has 40-50 FPS on High Grapics in EFLC!!!! (1.01 path)

  • @drimboi26 gt240 ddr5

  • yeah the gt 240 isnt too bad accually but i must say when i play tf2 i get like 10 fps and when i play mw2 i get like 40-60

  • @slizzlp Processor is a Quad Core at 2.50 GHZ and 4gb of Ram. Nothing much

  • @drimboi26 Im not sure but see performance test to see which one is better but I think you can tweak more with the ATI though for better performance since the fan on the GT240 isnt that powerful enough for tweaking

  • GeForce GT240 1GB SDDR3 AC Cooler/VGA/D-SUB/HDMI/550/1340/1600 MHz better than 8800GT ?

  • @Gazmendluzha actually the 8800GT might still be a bit better but hey if thats all you can afford for a graphics card go for it , not recommended for a lot of gaming. I would recommend the GT250 or higher for gaming

  • @Jerry4050

    At least GTX260 !

  • Do you feel any difference in GTA IV btwn 8800GT and GT240 ?

  • @AnimusPipboy yeah in the 8800GT I get about 40fps and the GT240 I get 32fps

  • i am with GT 240 ddr3 1 gb and it not bad, but it is with 128 bit--- very bad. i like gt 250 becouse it have 256 bit

  • is the gt 240 better than the 9600 gt?

  • @silversk8er007 the 9600GT is about 5% faster because its connected to your Mother board and your power supply. Funny thing is that GT 240 has more CUDA cores though but that doesnt mean anything if the memory is 5% slower you can check it out in Nvidia.com. It depends in which games its running on of what I read but if I had the DDR5 version I would get better results since its faster then DDR3.

  • @Jerry4050 thats true i just got the DDR5 one today..im very happy with it

  • @silversk8er007 I might switch mine since mines has freezing problems on the desktop but ill just wait and see because I really want GT 250 or GT 260 but I hope my 400w power supply can support it.

  • @silversk8er007 is ddr5 is compatible with dx38bt motherbord

  • @wtahir1978 i dont see what not...if it has a PCI express or PCI 2.0 slot with a x16 graphics slot...yeah im pretty sure it would work

  • I have GT240 1gb (drr3) and Core2 1,8Ghz proc, and i tried GTA 4 with 1.4 patch and i could play the game with everything low settings (1280x720), didn't reach 20 fps. :( 1.6 patch has any performance tweak?

  • @Baluman89

I have to say eliminate Antialiasing if your using it . Use the newest graphic driver from Nvidia since now they updated to 257.21 so I dont have to use the beta driver anymore. Thats the only thing that boost its performance and I have Quad Core which gives it a bit of more performance but my 8800GT gave it about double the performance then this card. I was getting 40fps at 1280 X 768. 1.6 patch just made the game feel a bit more stable but not give it more processing speed.

  • @Jerry4050 I've been meaning to ask someone about what "antialiasing" is since I bought the game......what exactly is it?

  • @uofm97

Its making those jaggie edges smooth which you can control it in the game or in Control Panal for Nvidia by right clicking it or in ATI in there version. On most Nvidia cards they dont support Antialiasing as good as ATI cards so its better to leave it off if you dont have a powerful video card that supports it at least in 8x but it makes the frame rate slower when its enabled. Just keep it in a smaller resolution and enable it to try it.

  • @Jerry4050 I have the exact card that is shown here in the video, without the patch. I have, at times, noticed that up at the top of my screen that I get a horizontal line that starts about 2 inches from the top of my screen and moves upward until it disappears.

  • @uofm97

make sure it has the patch on and has latest drivers. I have to say that GTA4 on PC has a lot of graphical glitches same goes with Assassins creed that Im testing it on this card. Only Fallout 3 runs perfect with this card except for it slows down a bit in a few parts. If theres anymore glitches send it back to EVGA if you havent done the rebate since it has 2 years of Warranty if anything.

  • are you saying that 8800 was better?

  • @3959484

Yes its memory clock is much faster and plus its not just using the Motherboard energy, it uses a 6 pin connector from the power supply and plus it was over clocked since its the EVGA 8800GT version which is overclocked.
