I'll admit I wasn't impressed with Makenzie on the Rachael Ray Show. And when I first listened to this, 0:35 - 0:46 left me once again unimpressed, so I exited. I re-listened to this later, and at the end she really is delightful. But I don't think this song does her justice. I'd like to hear her try a different style of song. I'm not sure what kind though, because I'm not Cami, and she knows best.

I sort of wish she didn't perform this song. I assume she picked it because she liked the recordings of the song. It is a mature song in many ways and she missed all of them. The story it mature, she was blatantly juvenile I don't think she could internalize the story she was saying. That was disappointing. It requires a mature voice. With the music written the way it is, the vocalist is constantly reaching up out of desperation, often resulting in a belting sound and vowels, which she didn't do

Makenzie has "it". It is clear that the Caldwell Organization are thouroughly capable of making the judgements required in every situation or crisis. Andi's leaving was a tough one but the group has evolved and will gone on to greater strengths.  It always amazes me how "fluid" this group is; sliding in and out of solo lines into a backing chorus with what seems like no effort. It is obvious these girls have exceptional talent and once more, are very well mentored! More video please.
