I know a couple of people who say SnakeBytes abuses their animals for fun, but I disagree with that.

Since they have a ton of animals, they don't have time to handle and tame each and every one of them, so naturally the animals might seem a little agitated.

It isn't true to say the animals have no stress when in these situations, but IMO, a little stress is unavoidable. Keep it up guys, you are awesome!

Oh please! Show me ONE real case of where someone is using Chewy (or similar) to support legislation against the hobby. What he does is silly, perhaps even a bit immature, but that is the point. Its' for fun, and nobody, including the animals, is really hurt. SnakeBytes on the whole has been a great program for informing people about the hobby and doing it in a responsible way. But it is also been a show that entertains, and that no doubt contributes to its lasting success.

HOWEVER look at this from the view of someone who is not a reptile person. Just the average officeworker, browsing the internet or checking email, and one way or another comes across this video. I can guarantee that he will almost immediately mutter the word "Idiots" to himself and go about his business. He is now left with that view of us.

One big snowball. It's silly and entertaining to us, because we know better, and that that's what they are trying to do. In addition to my other post, you have no idea how most reptile people actually view your videos, all you get is the young children who think you're so "cool". (Who, I might add, will now proceed to grow up to be more bad influences in our hobby.) Does it really matter enough which hurts more that it's worth risking everything we keep having to fight for, that being our rights to keep the animals we love? For the sake of everyone in our great hobby, stop acting like immature twelve year olds.

At 28 years I enjoy watching this show every week. I would have given anything when I was a kid to have this show and have learned many good things from watching, even after keeping herps since a young age. If you don't like it stop watching it and let the rest of us enjoy the eye candy and funnies BHB has to offer every week. @XxColdDeadxX Reptiles can't get rabies, so no need to get vaccinated against it. As for Tetanus, I'd agree with that one. Though as much as Chewy has been bitten by various animals, he's likely built up at least some small immunity to the bacteria in a reptile bite.
