I was in America an bought one ripstick. After 2 weeks i could drive relly good und the "weely" was no problem. Now there are other things like kickflip and others.

its funny, but here in germany the ripstick is not so in the public. xD Sorry my english is not the best hahahaha

i have it for a week or so .. i rock at wheelies .. ollies .. but when i try kickflip .. the board just flips .. and i see the back side on the ground .. while the wheels are rotating .. it feelz impossible !!

u can also turn a normal ripstik into a dxl by takin it apart and then just take the middle rubber thingo off and then put it together again and wella u can grind like a dxl

From what I've seen and felt, the Ripstik seems to be the better product purely from a manufacturing standpoint -- they both ride differently and those who learned on one have to relearn how to ride on the other, so the experience is relative.

I did a little research. The wave board did come out like 3 years or so before the Ripstik, however, those people over at Razor (the makers of Ripstik) have more money and a better design team, so their product is far superior (I've been riding all different types for the past week, trying to decide which to buy). Both companies bought the right to a patent from some South Korean company. They're not posers, they just improved upon a cheapo design (I'm an industrial designer).
