  • good piece of music. Suits the vid well Anyone know the track name?

  • Hi advanced,

    its Kirk,

I just got your email, and yes Im getting a bimmer lie your's, and mid 70's Godwilling ill find one and then Ill finally have a bike that right for the road like

I remember there was an R-90s in the movie Pink Panther Strike's Again In 1976, or 77 i think,,

It was the butlerJarvis's bike, and then He'd go to this wierd place and sing in female Impersonator thing,

    Totally Wacky,

It was an R-90,S, in the orange color with the wiondshield on front,

    sweet bike,

  • I remember the clip. I first read about the R90s in Motorcycle Monthly December 1975, priced 30 p. Good write up and advert in mag - Re-Discover your adrenalin......Price 1997 including V.A.T.

So in 1985 I bought the one I have now for £1,300.00 with under 10,000 miles on the clock

    Good luck with yours

  • I was looking a Jap touring bike's or even a Harley, but I remember the Bimmer's and how nice to ride they are and made for the rider , not to marketing junk,

  • The bmw just does the job, no singing or dancing about it. And you can get the cyclinder heads scraping on the road, long before everyone was getting knees down.......

  • The R-90 Bimmeer is one sweet macine,

  • Mine is retired now form day to day riding, with 70,500 miles on the clock. I treated her to a rebuild, but only had the frame power coated, everthing esle kep at as good as I good get to original. Now running a R1200GS

  • The R-90 Is one if the best touring bike's you can buy, smooth powerful, made well reliable as a rock,Good predictable handling,

  • oh man ich liebe die R90S hab aber noch nie eine live gesehen. fährt die sich als oldi gut?

  • Now that was fun - riden an R65 for years but never been on an R90S - thanks for the ride!

    ~Q

  • what a good ride. I like the positioning - once you've got your view , you position for your next view and so on. So there's no unnecessary weaving, which can look amateurish.

  • Can i call u Nigel?great video m8,the helmet cam to me is a lot better than the bike mounted type, has yours got a mic?and where did u get the cam...thx......

    btw....safe riding...

  • This was very early footage, before I went onto Autocom, which is connected to the camcorder.

The cam comes from RF Concepts,

    Regards

  • I like your riding. Really excellent.

  • Thanks, I should get out on her more, but she is semi retired, having been a great bike for me.

    Nigel

  • I've owned my R90s for 28 years.

Thanks for the ride, I know exactly how you felt whilst riding and filming.

where you humming a fave tune at the same time,? cos I do :)

  • My Bmw is now 33 and I have owned her since 1985. The first 'Superbike' of its day, Dual disc brakes and a nose cone fairing. Still great to ride.

  • benim de 76 model altın rengi r 90 s im vardı şerefsizin birine yardımcı olayım dedim o herif de beni dolandırdı,o günden beri içimde uhde kaldı motosiklet, haram ettim deyyusa...

  • Thanks for the ride. I still ride my 1967 R60 and enoy it. Feels strange to be on the British side of the road though. Nice vid.

  • I don't know about you, but when you have had a motorcycle for 21 years, you get used to it. I like the torque, better than all out performance.

  • Nice, but on wrong side of the road; I have driven my 90s since 1975 and done much of the same, very good motorsycle!!!!
