To sum up the entire story. Ava was once a man - once named "Avery", whom was once a collegue of Barret Moore. Avery and Barrett were fond of each other. Being that Avery was gay, he had feelings for Barrett, but Barrett didn't approve of being sexually involved with Avery. THe only other alternative was to re-create Avery into a woman, whom then tured into AVA. Ava, apparently, is an informal, feminine version of the name. Adrian was conceived by Barrett's personal assistant, not Ava.

Yeah, she had it along time ago...but she wasn't completly finished, but matt didn't know that because he was so young and inexperianced with women. Parlty the reason Ava was sleeping with him. But that all fell to shit when Christian was "in her" for lack of a better term, and he could tell right off the bat. Then she got surgery to complete the transistion.
