  • tootiebacy,

i am sorry i missed your comment

it is refreshing to see people finding help in this home video; there is still a strong obstacle: many Catholics find it hard to realize there could be a cult, or cult-like group inside the Church. I am one of the "voices that cry in the desert"

  • I spent a tour of mental entrapment, essentialy forced to give up my own free will in service of the will of my supiors. I was an apostolic from '87-'88 at Center Harbor. Father Ferguson gave me the nick name John Vienny because he felt I wasn't that bright though would make a great missionary priest. My running GPA that year was in the sixties. I wanted to leave so bad, but he would guilt me to believing that I was abondoning the will of God. On July 13th, when I went home for summer break

  • Well sir, if you recognized its occult like nature, you surely must have by now, recognized the catholic doctrine/dogma too, as well, to be paganist at its core. The worship of mary, the statues, the bejeweled scarlet color of the pope and his hierarchy below him? the hoard of wealth they have in priceless art. the hoarding of christian documents & adherence not, to them.the city/state vatican. the false teaching of the host. i could go on, but the question is, Are you still catholic?

  • A constant theme of my criticism of the Legion is its cultlike nature; that is a legacy of Maciel that the Legion cannot cast off, and the Apostolic Delegate seems oblivious to.

    Save our Souls

  • Thanks for sharing this. I hope to check out website to learn more. I must admit the more I learn about the Legionaries and their founder I am not impressed. Depth, maturity, and healthy religious development seem to get lost in the emphasis on submission, innocence, and obedience.

  • @LilleGeneva

I find your comment insightful. It is incredible how people are decieved by appearances, "Glittering Images" as Susan Howatch writes alluding to Church of England clergy... Maciel, the Master of Deceit produced a very glittery product...

  • Regnum Christi is not the Legion's lay branch. Rather, the Legion is Regnum Christi's religious branch.

Just wanted to clarify that point.

  • @anduruco

isn't that like "half a dozen of one and six of another'?

Put the ass before the cart or after

  • @anaclet

Hello, there Anacleto de la Chancleta,

Now isn't that a bit of calumny your phrase about the drink! I was just taking that daily glass of wine that St Paul recommends to one of his disciples...

But it's all right. I am a very humble man.

Over that at the National Catholic Reporter online paper, Fr. Owen Kearns made an apology for calumniating some of Maciel's accusers. The discussion is very lively. Fr. Owen has given readers a forum for their grieviences.

    Kudos to him

  • @irishmexican43 Sir:

Thanks for posting this. I'm a relatively new convert to Catholicism, and already I'm suffering the most painful buyer's remorse. Thanks to crooks like Fr. Maciel and Apb Weakland; oily bureaucrats like Cardinals Sodano and Bertone; and iron-handed doctrinal cops like my own prelate, Bp Thomas Olmsted, I'm hard-put to name a single leading Church figure I'd offer my hand to. I feel like I've got to choose between my faith and my common sense. Here, you show a healthy

  • @irishmexican43 ...mixture of both. I've decided to take comfort in that.

  • @moogamax

    thanks for writing

We believe in God, in Jesus, the Church takes a lot more faith, and well, the hierarchy, you dont have to believe in their persons. For Catholics, they are the unworthy minister of the Sacraments and the lousy preachers of the Gospel

  • @irishmexican43 Very sound advice.

By the way, since I wrote that, I realized I was a little hard on Weakland. He at least paid back that money he took. He may have been a horribly compromised character, but he wasn't a crook -- at least not on the level of Maciel.

  • good for you!

  • Thanks, friend, for keeping the discussion alive

  • The parallels between the LC & Opus Dei - & the personas of their founders (Maciel & Escriva) are frightening. As are the slander they hurl at those who would 'dare' to criticize them!

Perhaps most frightening is the realization that both men exhibited many of the classic symptoms of possession. Seriously.

For them Christ was merely a corporate logo & medium of control.

  • I left after the first day of novitiate in Cheshire. I looked around at a bunch of brainwashed zombies and thought, "I'm getting out of here!" I thought the whole cult of personality of was nonsense and I couldn't take hearing Maciel's name 100 times more than God's. I agree with you on "goals &intent" point. I could never fully get anyone to explain the mission of the Legion to me. Thank God I left!!!

  • You are one of the lucky ones, or the blest, or simply had the sight and strength to see the writing on the wall and walk away in time.............before it got its claws into you.

    Peace and Joy!

  • @mrsgarrettrocks hi, too was in cheshire in novitiate, 1982, w/ fr william. what is your name and when were you there? we played soccer each day, and swam in the pond. an hour in the chapel first thing in the morning, and awakened in the gym where we slept by fr peter saying Christ our King, and we would wake up and say, Come to our aid. ART.

  • Thanks for your answer. I guess you speak spanish, no?

    ---

Yes I do speak Spanish fluently and love it and the culture. I am privileged to be a personal friend of Maciel survivors, including Jose Barba PhD from the Itam and researcher Fernando Gonzalez, UNAM. Irish and Mexicans have lots in common besides religion; powerful neighbors, colonization

  • Congratulations: Is not easy to talk about this atrocities. If hell exists, it was made to recive Marciales Macieles.

  • Dear anima[l]

thank you for your encouragement; Legion and Regnum Christi members and supporters can be cruel at times and say hurtful things about one's person becuase one is pointing out their errors, poniendo el dedo en la llaga.

    Thank you,

    Peace

  • Good for you Irishmex !!! Those attacking you are hypocrites or ignoramouses, or both. I know what you went though. Padraig is about as Irish as a monkey's balls, and talks about as much sense. Good for you for having the courage to speak out against these bastards !! Look at Ireland today - what they've done here. Yeah I am 100% Irish born and bred. KICK THEIR ARSES !!! You have true faith. Me too :-) Truth sets free. Keep speaking it.

  • Gullytale,

Thank you for your encouragment. It is hard to speak out against a powerful and "successful" "officially approved" Catholic organization. It can be disheartening when, months after it was rumored, we are not seeing signs that the Vatican "visitation" , aka Investigation of the Legion of Christ is underway. Few want to stand up and be counted. Many ex members lack commitment to telling the truth and putting up with the consequences. Others are fearful of some kind of retaliation. Ciao

  • I know ALL about it Mex. Not the Legions, but other organisations with the organisation. Filth, rot, corruption, power mongering, whore mongering hypocrites. It is very often what seems like a lone battle. But you are not alone and you are ridding the true Church of the evils of clericalism and corruption. Sick to its heart with both. God bless

  • Thank you for posting this! Some may want to deny the truth because it shakes their faith. Thank you for your courage.

  • Dear Ortho,

my sad thought for the day centered around Fr Maciel's obsession with controlling peoples' lives -sex abuse is just another facet of this. But what sex abuse! controlling the how, when and with whom his young seminarians were sexually initiated. Sexual pervert and Power Junky. What if the organization is like that, the present leadership cadre?

  • Nugent,

good to hear from you. Well, I could not be a good Legionary for several reasons; one of them being that i was not a good liar

I just tell the truth about Maciel and the Legion

The Legion continues to demonize those who disagree

Once you see through that particular strategy you get closer to the truth.

"The truth does not sin but it can be very encomfortable", as they say in Spanish. Neither Maciel or the Legion or the Regnum have much time for the truth. It gets in their way

  • Hi Paul,

I see the Legion now accepts the MM was a pedophile. Do you know if they have apologized to his victims? Have they apologized to you for the Law Suit?

    Regards

NO ADMISSION RE MACIEL THE PEDOPHILE

NO APOLOGIES FROM LEGION YET, NO OFFICIAL APOLOGIES to victims, to Lennon or anyone else, just private efforts written by those who are not in leadership positions.

  • Hi Paul, I got the Video Vows of Silence, Its terrible to think how for years we were told you were the "Bitter ExLegionary". I hope you will be able to help any exlc's. God Bless you!!!!

  • mocborb,

For years I was a member of the legion and did not think the "calumnias" were true. But It now seems they are. I would like to apologies to you for thinking you were some angry exLC. YOU WERE NOT. YOU WERE TELLING the Truth all along. It seems the legion now tells that MM had 2 children and did abuse other!!. This is a shock to me, a wakeup call I suppose. The final chapter on the book of the Legion of christ. I really can´t see how they can continue. anyway sincere apologies to you,

  • Do I, did I, ever look like an angry xLC?

    Anger is in the eyes of the beholder;

and in psychological terms it is called "projection". Just look at the angry comments from LC and RC supports; some have become ashamed and removed their angry comments to erase their tracks. That is sad.

  • moreiraanam (1 week ago) &

    padraigmonkey

Are yous Irish gangin' up and slaggin' me?

  • I admit it -I am a drunk and I love the limelight

but I did NOT father any children while I was a priest,

nor did I sexually abuse my fellow seminarians or altarboys

  • Angry sad old man, put your energy into something more constructive. You sound like a self serving, wine swilling twit. I mean its all about you and how clever you are. Perhaps you would be more effective as a guest thespian on Masterpiece Theater. you clearly crave the spotlight. Enjoy the Merlot.

  • I told you it was Rioja, hombre!

  • LOL, sorry old china. i just don't get it. so much needs to be done in the Church. Bury MMD and let the good works of men that have made a genuine sacrifice for their fellow man get on with their work. If you're sour on orthodoxy in the Church then we can talk about that, but lets not turn predatory homosexuals into pedophiles and sadly paint good men with the same brush. It just ain't right muchacho

  • Mr. Lennon, Live peace in your heart... and give peace to the world. We need Love and Peace! Be Brave! Be humble! Be what Christ called you to be: another Christ -following HIS model, alone! Build the Church! Build the World! Live and Give Peace!!!!

In Christ and His Church, assuring you my humble prayers.

    Ana

  • Asi calumniaron a los primeros cristianos el dia de Pentecostes [ver Hechos de los Apostoles]...es que decian verdades incomodas...

"Shoot the messenger," a tactic of the Legion/Regnum and other cultic groups

  • En fin, insisto en que este irishmexican tiene toda la pinta de un borracho.

  • God bless you Paul!

  • Dear Father,

    thank you very much.

One of the things I did NOT learn in the Legion was to doubt myself and my "mission". I often question myself for questioning the Legion and its system - 'though I am very clear about Fr. Maciel's shortcomings, having seen him "up close and personal" warts and all. We have the chorus of Koolaid drinkers calling us "disgruntled old men". I have long ceased to "put my faith in princes" and plow my furrow alone, "with a little help from my friends."

  • Comment removed

  • The Legion likes to get them young: "all the better to brainwash you, my dear!" said the wolf to Little Red Riding Hunk.

    But seriously, Maciel was very smart: he got them as young as 9 [one, Ramiro Fernandez, as I say in my memoir]' most were 10 or 11;

Now this crazy idea of early recruiting took off even in the good old US of A, with the secluded and sheltered boarding schools and Apostolic Schools... What an aberration! These Catholic parents should be ashamed!

  • They do try to 'start 'em young' in the US. As young a pre-school age (3-4). It is also amazing the sheer number of 'apostolates' they have - compiling a list is nearly impossible! But they are...'legion':p

Right now it is very hard to find a parish which is not under the thumb of or mostly populated by members of this or that 'affiliate' of either LC/RC or the Opus Dei.

  • Dear Friend,

i do not know how you ex was before joining the Legion; however, the Legion 'formation system', among other things, does insensitise members to their own feelings and also to those of others. They impose reason over feelings in a repressive way; another unwritten Legion principle does not help: the end justifies the means.

For a fuller description, read my memoir

  • Do you need tnat cheap wine to talk about your hallucinations? With the money of your new novel you'll be able to buy a good one.

  • Dear Soquetlan,

    not cheap but good Rioja

-Fr. Gregorio Lopez and Juan Manuel Amenabar, two Spaniards, introduced me to wine tasting during our Primerisimas Feast Days in Rome, not far from the Enfermeria where Fr. Maciel sexually abused Amenabar and 9 others.

Why dont you see a psychiatrist yourself or, better still, a cult exit counselor, to rid yourself of Legion and Regnum brainwashing?

Come out in the open and fight like a man instead of behind a pseudonym!

  • Hello and Hola, Friends and Amigos

with great satisfaction I want to announce that my Memoir about Marcial Maciel and me, "Our Father, who art in..." is almost ready.

Mis memorias en ingles estan a punto de salir. Dios dira si consigo traductor al espanyol.

    Gracias por su apoyo,

    Thanks for your help,

  • si tu unica respuesta ante este tipo tan valiente es decir "mentiroso e imbecil" lo unico que demuestras es una actitud muy poco cristiana.

  • Lo repito: mentiroso e imbécil.

  • On reviewing past comments from Pro Legion "hecklers" I notice that some of them have deleted their original posts after I responded to them; they throw stones and run away. Remember the saying: "People in glass houses..."

  • some people like to cover their tracks. also, if a reader only has your words to go on they might see you in a dimmer light

  • Judith querida,

I did not finish that bottle. And it was only wine. You know Father Maciel favorite drink? Johnny Walker red label. I swear on the Bible y sobre la tumba de mi madrecita

  • strate through to ordination? the Legionaries spend more time in the seminary then any other order ever. i'm an x-rc member though i still sustain close ties with several legionaries and regnum christi members. the mexican order hasn't prooven skilled at addapting to the US culture, but it's far from evil. minor disagreements was how the Protastint Reformation started! of course you'd be punished for disagrying with your superiors!

  • Aries,

I did not do "Apostolic Practices" and was ordained after 8 years. As I comment in my soon to be released Memoir "Our Father who art..." I speculate that the reason the first Irish born were promoted to ordination was to send us to the USA to recruit and fundraise

  • well, the name Legion does imply a military ellement. Irish American, middle class catholics might be more reseptive to someone they share a common ansestry with than a mexican. this would provide not only more success in the US but even more priests than Ireland would have had if you'd stayed in Ireland. my brother spent 4 of his 6 years with the legion outside the US

  • Aries,

very interesting discussion: I believe Maciel had in mind the Spanish Legion [echoes of Franco's Legion that helped him win the Civil War]. We Irish thought of the French Foreign Legion when hearing the name; movies about the FFL were popular in the 50s, v.g "Beau Geste", I believe.

    As you note, American catholics of the Conservatie brand, would have been receptive to Legion, more so if it was defending the Church against Communism;

  • later the Legion was portrayed as defending the Church against Progressivism and Liberalism and the loss of Traditional values and practices. In thus adjusting to American Catholic "consumer needs", the Legion, following in the footsteps of the Greatest Catholic Saleman who ever lived, Marcial Maciel, demonstrated its uncanny ability. The Legion had been able to tap into "vocation" material and the pockets of "reactive" rich Catholics who see the American Church moving too far from Trent & Vat I

  • did not St. Francis beg money from cold hearted men? the yong men of my region are of many, many backgrounds. i would say that the young men here are demonstrations of the JP2 generation though some of their parrents might be from the pool you discribe.

  • Describe the JPII Generation for me; I am a bit out of the loop.

  • the JPII Generation is a cross between the MTV generation and pre-vatican2. the more hard core catholics of this generation are obediant, well catikised, and incredably respectful to church teachings. they are also fun loving, rebelious, technoligy loving, party animals. i have a number of friends who can't see eye to eye with their parrents on anything because their parrents think things like women should be priests. he came to turn mother against daughter, father against son, and so on

  • Aries,

what would such people as you describe "party animals" do, for example, with Humanae Vitae, the papal Encyclical condemning artificial means of birth control?

  • i think if Marcial Maciel was the greatest Catholic Saleman ever there would be less bishops who forbid the Legion from functioning in their home's. also, do you think the Legion of Mary had anything to do with the name?

  • what a name was is not what it is, what a name is, is not what it will become. the US is a great example of how it is not important where the name 'legion' comes from. we fled from death, to poverty, to glory, to death again. that is why it is important not to focase on how it all started, because if God is at the wheel who cares. if he's not, we're all dead men

  • THANKS TO LEGION!

in all honesty I want to thank the Legion of Christ through its lawyers for allowing me to continue to fundraise for legal fees incurred in their suit against REGAIN, INC & JOHN PAUL LENNON.

I will be presenting a new YouTube as soon as my Holywood crew is back from the Miss USA pageant.

  • O sea, que lo que te preocupa, Irishmexican, es sacar dinero con la excusa de pagar los gastos judiciales.

  • Judith,

como dicen los gringos: you seem very angry about something. It probably has nothing to do with me!

  • Irish Mexican- are you associate with Holywood?? I didn't know that. So, you know Matt Malek? I am inquiring as I know a few people associated with him. They had been concerned about telling him about their own negative experiences of the Legion, but if he knows you, that opens up the floor.

  • Hello, cantante,

I do not know Matt Malek -only MM]. Who is he?

I would not be concerned about telling anyone about my negative experiences with the Legion of Christ. My big mouth has been known to get me into trouble. The Legion like their ex-members to be quiet and keep their mouths shut. They might even pay you for that...but they will sue you if you are not docile, manso, y menso...

Do you think this other MM might be interested in a movie regarding my being sued by the Legion of Christ?

  • Thank you for this Paul. You are very courageous and I applaud you!

  • The April 15th deadline for a discounted fee for the 2008 annual conference of the International Cultic Studies Association is approaching quickly. If you have not already registered, do so now to take advantage of the early registration discount.

The conference will take place Friday -- Sunday, June 27-29 at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia . Preconference workshops for families, ex-members, and mental health professionals will take place on Thursday, June 26th.

  • I guess the deal for you, Mr. Lennon, is about freedom of expression or just about freedom or liberty itself. I would expect a bit more from you since you hold so firm to your truth about others. From a guy at your age and experience, I would expect a more convincing and mature answer. Most who defend freedom of expression also uphold that no one should dogmatized, but even that would be dogmatizing. Then, who would be telling the truth? Do you still think you are?

  • I feel there is a hint of "ageism" in your posting; that has now been outlawed in the USA; there is also a note of "patronizing" me; which sounds like an old Big J, or one of my lc spiritual directors; they always made me feel bad about myself.

  • Nope, no hint of ageism in my words. As for patronizing, I guess it depends on how you take it. As for making you feel bad, none of my intentions were to do so. If you do feel bad, well then, there is something to think about. If I knew for sure that I was right, I wouldn't feel bad even if others tried to do so. I guess in your case you're not sure if you're right. Could it be? It's funny how you haven't commented on any of my points mentioned. A sure person wouldn't hesitate to comment...

  • My dear Friend,

of course I dont feel absolutely and infallibly right. If I did I would be guilty of pride and presumption. Only God, who sees beyong appearances really knows the truth about each one of us and our deeds. I opine about what I have experienced, to the best of my ability. And I am not into complicated mind games and philosphical hair splitting.

  • Then, there you have it. Opinions about others shouldn't be expressed as truths. So, what you've said about everything hasn't been absolutely and infallibly right; and thus, neither objectively true. Now to say otherwise would only contradict yourself twice. Is there anything more to say?

  • Dear Wanderer,

i am now totally confused by your mind twisting.

Let vistors decide for themselves by simply watching the video. Who is going out on a limb? Certainly not you, hiding behind your name and lurking in anonymity. I am publishing my Memoir of Maciel and Me, warts and all. I have nothing to lose. I have been attacked by the Legion and brought to court. So I have paid my dues for speaking out. And the American public will figure out where Truth is, and Christian Charity.

  • Confused, huh? Well, this "attacked by the Legion" confuses me. I don't see any open agression to you as a person. As for Truth, I think that rather than the American public, the whole world will figure out not where the Truth is but who and what Truth is once they realize who God really is when they come to the end of their lives. All I can say is that someone already beat you there, and I don't doubt at all that he will be more than willing to intercede for you if needed...

  • see case in Alexandria City District Court, LEGION OF CHRIST VS REGAIN & JOHN PAUL LENNON...that is in the public record. Your theology is Ante-Pre-Vatican II, full of that old fashioned fear of God. The someone you are referring to, Marcial Maciel, is an unrepentant pedophile priest. I would certainly not like to be in his shoes when I face my Creator; because there then will be no self-created myths, no deceit, no adulating flocks of sheep.

  • Dear irishmexican,

A year ago I studied in a legionary boarding school in Ireland and I was never abused in any way. In the contrary I learned alot of culture and english and also got closer to god. We had mass everyday and spiritual guidance. I respect your views about Fr. Maciel but I disagree in the ways you see the legion.

    God bless

  • Querida Mexicano,

    No hard feelings

Viva la libertad de expresion, algo que no tendrias si fueras Legionario o del Regnum Christi porque los superiores controlan todo. They are control freaks. If you dont have a problem with being controlled, that is fine. Besides, people without proper "professional" training should not be doing Spiritual Direction; that is abusive. Once you experience authentic spirituality, you will forget the Legion and the Regnum

  • What are you trying to do? Here you have a congregation approved by the church, in line with the church, doing AWESOME things for the church, and here you are with the other regain people ... doing what? You are bearing bad fruits while the Legion and Regnum Christi continue to bring souls to Christ.

  • Young lady,

just telling my story on this particular Video; I am doing nothing wrong here. The Legion/Regain cannot sue me for this; so i will make the most of the limited freedom they allow me.

I have no hard feelings towards you or any other rank and file members.

Can we agree to differ and continue to serve the Lord in our own way? I do not believe the Legion/Regnum is the same as God, Jesus Christ, or the Church. God Bless you and may the Spirit enlighten you.

  • How interesting that rcgirl has only watched ONE video...apparantly she created her account just to attack Mr. Lennon.

God will bless you Paul, for standing up for the truth.

  • Fr Marcial Maciel R I P

  • Hi question when you left the Legion of Christ, how come you did not contuine as a Priest? lots of people Im sure would have contuined to serve Christ in parish work, I work for the Legion of Christ in Ireland and have found them to be dedicated Priests 50 young men became Priests of LC this year. Yours in Christ guiley2

  • Dear quiley2

Notice how pro-LC countermove to any kind of criticism is often a personal "attack"

I did continue as a priest for 4 years after leaving the Legion but then took a leave of absence and was dispensed from ministry and celibacy; the Vatican saw fit to grant these based on documentation from the Washington Archdiocese. A number of ex-Legionaries who do not agree with the Legion continue in the priesthood; for the most part they want to remain anonymous for fear of Legion reprisals.

  • Dear irishmaxican

thank you for your response, first I should clear up 1 thing, Iam not pro any religious group Iam a Catholic Christian and Im sure your resons for lwaving the order are just. Ithought all served Christ first before men,and as the LC are made up of men serving Christ will Catholics not find this confusing.

  • I respect you as a priest. Even though you may not call yourself one anymore, "you are a priest forever". As a priest, you are called to be "another Christ" (and I believe this term is not a legionary invention). As another Christ, the testimony you give to others is very important. I certainly can't imagine Christ himself do and say the things you are doing and saying whether it be true or not, Fr./Mr. Paul Lennon. Between you and God, there is a great responsibility. Keep that in mind.

  • Dear wanderer,

thanks for taking time and attention; I wish you would respect me first and foremost as a human being; for it is from there that my basic rights and responsibilities spring. I dont understand: "I certainly can't imagine Christ himself do and say the things you are doing and saying whether it be true or not," Didn't Jesus die for truth and justice even when it displeased the religious leaders of his time?

  • In answer to your question, the answer is "yes", but my question to you is: did Jesus retaliate as He hung from the cross? Did He even come off the cross in order to strike back "in the name of truth"? Think of what you are doing and try to see if Christ would have done the same.

  • I do not consider myself an example to any person.

Jesus is the only one to follow. Not me, or Marcial Maciel, the pedophile priest.

  • I would not dare to "second guess" or piously speculate on the thoughts, feelings and motivations of Our Divine Savior as He hung on the cross. I must limit myself to what revealed in Sacred Scripture, Tradition and the teaching of the Roman Pontiffs. However, it is clear that Jesus did not take a slap on the face lying down during his trial and uring his ministry often harshly critized the Pharisees for their hypocrisy and considering themselves better than others.

  • Dear Mr.Lennon you would be doing a great job if you keep your mouth shut and stop saying bad things about others. If you do believe in charity start by practicing it yourself. Father Maciel is a great man and he has done many wonderfull things that have helped other people find God and learn about Jesus.

  • Dear Andrea,

I make no proclamation of being an example of charity; I do no criticize people behind their backs like the Legion hpocritically does. I have been saying it to Fr Maciel's and Legion superiors' faces for decades. I stand by my opinion and stand to be judged by Almight God and not by any human tribunal. Todays Pharisees, the Legion of Christ, are making me pay for my First Amendment Rights. I criticize but I dont squeal.

  • How are the legal fees hitting you!!.

Did you think the legion were just going to lie down an let you trample over them!

  • The sad thing is the Legionaries are not the only group in the Catholic Church that is liturgically and doctrinally orthodox yet disregards Canon Law with regards to spiritual direction and committments and acts like a a cult. Conservative Catholics need to be educated that simply having a nice liturgy and being orthodox in doctrine does not necessarily mean the group is good.

  • RRamoness, I couldn't agree with you more.

  • Thank you for the work you guys do with Regain, if you warned even one young man or woman about the abuses inside and they did not enter because of it, you did an immense good!

  • Mr. Lennon has himself and his supporters to blame for the lawsuit. They stab their former Legionary comrades in the backs -- in the name of charity. Nothing positive to contribute. This is not to say that the Legion is right. Time will tell if they have made a smart move with the lawsuit. Meanwhile, another acrimonious book promised by Mr. Lennon in his video suggests that conciliation is not an option for him and his ilk. Maybe he should drink his wine and mellow out!

  • Dear Dude,

    I will take my responsibility.

"Stab is back" is loaded language. As a matter of fact, the criticism is not of the "rank and file", who are mostly innocent or ignorant -as in "not knowing". Criticism has been directed mostly against Fr. Maciel and the top leadership, and certain "cult-like" aspects of the Legion/Regain. We very rarel invoke "Charity" because of the misuse of that term by the Legion/Regain.

I will drink my wine and you can drink your Kool-Aid
