Make sure you support the belly on the larger snook; holding them only from the lip damages their insides due to their weight, and many times they swim off okay, but die later on. Otherwise great catch, nice fish.

I got my measurements from FMP. Anyway, I caught a snook about a week ago at the Fort Lauderdale inlet. Dozens of them there. He was too small so I tossed him back. You can't park there, but I work the nearby condo and will let you park there if you want to try it some time.
I don't mean to be a prick. But you can't keep a snook over 36 inches. The current regulation is between 26-36 inches. That's why there are so many "Monsters" out there thanks to the law. Nice catch.
