Wow, I knew about Lady Smith, but I did not know this was as widespread as it is. I love the good strong voices and the stylized movements. Maybe I was African in a previous life, as I have always been drawn to the various African cultures.
Hello TheRyvel, yes I agree that a comment MojaKann made was uncalled for as and based on what assumption I do not know. Perhaps an evening with me in the basement of the men's hostel where this sweet a cappella drama unfolds throughout the misty neon lit night into the exhausted morning light might influence a different comment from MojaKann
Can't believe how well they sing (we sang really well at school, but we had a strict choirmistress who drilled us constantly, and i'm assuming they never did) and they dress so sharp.
I love the way these people sing altogether.

i'm so glad this sacred music have been protected to survive the attack of modern day
vultures. as a proud Zulu, it is a privilege & honour to finally see this old traditional
music being airwaved on the internet for the whole world to enjoy. i use to go YMCA, during my time in Johannesburg to watch real men competing on a
saturday night. well dressed, caring a lot of respect with them. may this legacy
be protected for the next generation. thanks for posting.
