hey i have a macbook pro and i want to install windows xp on it like you show in your video but how did u do it did u download something from a web site or did u have to buy a disc i rlly want to download it for the same reason shinjitodd wanted to instal to play games if you could tell me how to get windows xp on my macbook it would be very appreciated

@xPersianSkaterx you need os x 10.5.8 or higher to run bootcamp wow you have os x 1.5 you need to upgrade big time but i don't know if you already did or not if you did not i would recommend you do upgrade to snow leopard so you can run boot camp and run windows on you mac ok

(in windows) insert your leopard install disc 1 and open my computer and click the disc and you should find a sound driver

Hey people just wanted to throw out this advice that has been made clear before.

When buying the windows cd from a retail store make SURE you get the full version and not an upgrade. I recommend an OEM version since they are cheap (Tigerdirect *Dot* com)but remember they only have one license. :D

even if you do get a virus on windows xp, there's no way the virus can go into the other partition. especially since the if it is a file that infects a windows pc, then there would be no possible chance that it was written for both mac and pc. just letting you know.

I think they added bootcamp because some people need windows. This might be the case for students who go to schools that are lmited to windows and also gamers who want to play games that are available only for windows. By adding bootcamp it basically takes away all of macs flaws of not bein able to run some windows products.

On an iMac using a mighty mouse, the mighty mouse HAS a right click, it's just one button but there is a right click. On a macbook you can tap with 2 fingers for a right click.

You can just go to a shop and buy a XP or VISTA instalation disc. Warning though, some discs have a little sign on the box saying "Upgrade" those discs do not work with boot camp.

Just to clarify, you can get a virus on XP but this cannot affect your OSX install since the OS works diffrently. Just like if you have a virus on a PC on Windows and also have linux installed, linux will not be affected. Put simply, it's OS specific. It's just code written for one OS. Good video though, useful.
