This record is the test of faith for McCartney fans. If you can get through it, you really, really love Paul McCartney. I can, although I admit it's the last Macca album to find its way into my collection.
When I heard McCartney 2 of course Coming up was the hit that everyone knew and know but when I've listened this song I was Like .... Man I love the music and the way he sang the "she can be a belly dancer...." it was Like Cool McCartney is a genius and makes a great song with a simple and repetitive sound like the intro beautiful
Eh, Paul was ok. I mean he was just the Beatle who looked like a girl. John was the guy with the talent, and skrew you guys in advance for what your going to say. You don't what your talking about, you just sit at home late at night and make dumb comments on the internet just to piss off people who surf youtube when they should be working, masturbating in the bathroom on the boss's dime. For shame, you types are going to hell for wasting your seed on Paul McCartney and his fine feminine feature.
@chaplan76 people feels jelous because paul is the best , he's the greatest genius of century... that's hurts to lennon's fans... jelousssssssssss guys!! sorry but is true..and... i love lennon too.. but this never change.. mccartney is the king
@BandOnTheRun87 McCartney 1 and 2 are completely made by just One Man (sometimes Linda helped but she's not a man lol) every sound we listen in both albums are made by Mccartney itself no one else
"McCartney II" was in my house because my mum ordered it (or allowed it as monthly selection) from Columbia House. These are studio tracks--"Comin' Up," "Waterfalls," "Frozen Jap." "On the Way" is--think about the time, 1980--it's like B B King with Talking Heads AND Brian Eno. Fuckin' stellar!
This album (sadly, a cassette for me) is fantastic, the times when I gladly used to hear the whole material. BTW, I feel "On the Way" is like the 80's version for "why don't we do it on the road"
actually, this was the very first record I bought on my own (well, my elder brother was with me) at the tender age of five. Hearing any track from this LP makes me get all sentimental.
Temporary Secretary was and still is my fave track on the album. But, for some odd reason, I kept on calling out "Bill Cosby!" each time I heard On the Way. I suppose I thought Paul didn't sound like himself and more "black". I dunno, I was a stupid five year old kid in 1980..and still am, thank you haha
This is awesome! Temporary Secretary=Lo fricking L!!! and On The Way is really good too. Just listening to his lesser know stuff shows how underrated he actually was (is). Anyway, thank you for uploading, you have confimed to me that Paul McCartney FTW.

I'm not sure what it says about Macca's solo career that this somewhat annoying looped pseudo-techno kicks the ass of "My Love", "Admiral Halsey", and at least 8 other of his solo #1s.
You're right. I don't know why people expect a "Hey Jude" or "Long And Winding Road" everytime. It's part of the attractiveness of Paul's music that he is so verstatile. It's his willingness to do pop, rock, folk, jazz, country etc. that makes his music so interesting.
@beatle608 I believe the whole album is brilliant. For all you Macca haters, Lennon agreed. He especially loved Coming Up, though he thought he sounded a little depressed on Waterfalls and failed to find the ironic "always play it safe and be boring" message in it. I'm glad Macca rereleased it, and I can't wait to get the deluxe edition!

Omg, too bad he didn't actually die. This piece of crap excuse for a song, sucks more then any other sad attempt at a solo career. I hope he burns in hell for this. Pce
There needs to be a remix of Temporary Secretary. It would be hot on the dance floors. I wonder what Paul was smoking when he produced this song. It was almost a decade early that this type of pop dance music was cool.
macca pacca, he's in in the night garden, this tune is so awesome...mc artney should do more tecchno like this stuff and less pap than he does a lot...that everyones gonna dance tonight was the worst crappy turgid stuff i've ever had the misfortune to here
AMAZING : ELECTRO SONG.

i was raised in a very snobbish indie environment and i kept being told that all that mccartney did after the beatles was crap.

They use "Macca" in the tabloids. Just like there's Wacko Jacko and Brangelina.
johnsposato 3 years ago
"Macca" is a nickname used in Britain (according to Wikipedia) for any name that starts with "Mc" or "Mac." They call "McDonald's" "Maccas."
"Temporary Secretary" must have been Macca's attempt at being Devo for a day.
