  • Cold water and ice are some serious hazards. On the lake at that time of the year you have to plan for trouble. Always bring a good thick pair of cross country skis to test the ice. Step in the babies on, leave the bindings open, and test the ice. If you fall through the skis will come off and float. Then you can use them to get back on the good ice quickly. Snowmobiling on rotten ice is so dangerous. You can get into trouble way too fast.
