that's right, the avalanche chevy trucks come with an opening from the bed to the cab, we use to have one in the family unitl they got a newer Silverado truck.
I have thought about it, brand new avalanche and making a good install og some 4 15" (high quality subs, not kicker)
yeah my bass doest travel that much outside my truck, but inside its loud, now with the CVXs it became louder.
very good bass output, i like how it sounds. (the bass does come out of the vehicle nice.)
I honestly think that my bass got trapped only inside my cabin, that cause I used like 3-4 layers of ""FatMat" just like dynamat" before that my bass could travel outside my truck, with the fatmat, bass gets trapped inside.
bottom line, on my future installs, I will never use those things anymore, jeje no fatmat, dynamat, NADA.
maybe a blowthrough will be nice, so you can have a all 4 seats

I had two L7s in a sealed box running off two 1k watt sony explode amps .... they would cut out at first then they just finally quit bumping...i would have to push them in to get them to hit, theyd hit for a little while, then cut out again and like I said eventually took a shit. Right now I got a boss audio 3k monoblock but my high-low output converter went bad so im getting my pioneer avh6600 going in next week ....
what year did u have, sony amps are way overrated so not sure how that would blow an L7 unless the gain was to high and it was clipping. Kickers are underrated so they can take more than 750 rms.
well mine are 12's but the 15's bang like crazy i paid $1000 for mine with the box so if the 15's are fairly new 08 model and under warranty that would be a good deal. u can also buy Fi subs fairly cheap!
to djchemical -thats called blowing a sub, and you must have blown it from clipping those things, cuz two "1000" watt sony amps are not going to push them to their limits.... not even 10" l7's

whats that amp? its a pdx 1000? i think the zx2500 would be too much on the 12s. if you dont want to take the zx1500 then you might get a 2000 watt rms hifonics amp. heard they were good but oberrated.

stock batt and alt and two 1800 kinetik batts in the rear and i built the box to fit in the rear. had to get rid of back seats
