  • ...depends on what kind of single cells are you talking about. Bacterium and Archaea, for example, don't have them, but single celled organisms from Eukaria, like amoeba, do have them.

    Of course, as always, there are exceptions, like amitochondrial organisms who only have remnants of mitochondria in their cytoplasm... but I'm sure you weren't talking about them, heh.

  • of course single cells have mitochondirans. Its a cell, and all cells have a mitochondria. Its called uhm basic organelles of cellular establishment

  • @staples7878 All protisa, animals, plant, fungal, and some bacteria have mitochondia. Some bacteria are mitochondia themselves
