British society is fragmented. What is British? there is class,sexuality,politics,norms and values are manyfold. But it isn't something to be alarmed about. The idea of a failed multiculturalism as if it is supposed to be a monoculture or a failure is a ridiculous misunderstanding of the nature of demographics. We may be fragmented but we get along inspite of the minority of extremists on both sides. My wife and I have different views on how to bring up our kids. So thats a micro example.

Where I live all schools have a large if not majority of muslims, and just as anyone but the stupidest git could guess, they are not only doing incredibly bad, they are also rife with homophobia, violence ect. Name something bad and the best guess that is exactly what is going on in those schools regarding the students.

@coughlan616 - I try to avoid other British people over here in California. Whenever I do engage with them there's a 90% chance they'll be racists, very conservative and homophobic. Few of them have bothered to become US citizens. They're usually on green cards cos that means they don't have to do jury duty. But best of the longer they've been here, the more they go on about immigrants in the UK. And the older these expats are, the more racist they tend to be. SO I give them a wide berth.

Basically you had a situation where people immigrated to the country, couldn't afford a decent place to live, and with the property price trap new housing was not coming. So they ended up stuck in areas with terrible access to education and high unemployment.

Of course that doesn't mean that saying 'multiculturalism has failed' means that this situation will be remedied, it just means that now the blame for this situation will be put on the immigrants themselves.

"Awareness of multiple cultural beliefs" and "implementing multiple cultures under one legal system" are different things. The former is fine, the latter does not work.
The UK runs under one dominant culture, one set of laws. The problem with "implementing" multiple cultures is that you end up with things like religious courts which pass rulings that go against the standards of the main UK culture such as male/female equality, divorce rights, custody rights, etc.

The Islamic worlds understanding is formed by their culturem the culture us formed by the people, Islam havn't changed alot in that culture. They must change the culture that they are living in because we are just worse than them. I had to change my job. Three days ago, my friend who was working in a certain company for several years was fired. One of indian guys said to him (laughing): "you fuking polish". British society is fragmented. What is British? there is class,sexuality,politics,norms and values are manyfold. But it isn't something to be alarmed about. The idea of a failed multiculturalism as if it is supposed to be a monoculture or a failure is a ridiculous misunderstanding of the nature of demographics. We may be fragmented but we get along inspite of the minority of extremists on both sides. My wife and I have different views on how to bring up our kids. So thats a micro example.

Where I live all schools have a large if not majority of muslims, and just as anyone but the stupidest git could guess, they are not only doing incredibly bad, they are also rife with homophobia, violence ect. Name something bad and the best guess that is exactly what is going on in those schools regarding the students.
Forget the apologies, they are incredibly well funded because of their problems. It´s not like our society likes to have more moronic muslims running around.

I forgot to mention that danish studies have been made, that clearly show that the numbers of muslims attending a school is the one major factor in regards to how much is going wrong. And every conceivable major excuse, but one(I will get back too), that has been made to justify that it´s really not the muslim students fault, has shown to fall flat on it´s head. @coughlan616 - I try to avoid other British people over here in California. Whenever I do engage with them there's a 90% chance they'll be racists, very conservative and homophobic. Few of them have bothered to become US citizens. They're usually on green cards cos that means they don't have to do jury duty. But best of the longer they've been here, the more they go on about immigrants in the UK. And the older these expats are, the more racist they tend to be. SO I give them a wide berth.

Multiculturalism is a label used to disguise and muddy terrible living and working conditions for immigrant labour.
Basically you had a situation where people immigrated to the country, couldn't afford a decent place to live, and with the property price trap new housing was not coming. So they ended up stuck in areas with terrible access to education and high unemployment.
When people asked why all these class divided ghettos had formed, well its multiple cultures in a single nation.

Multiculturalism has failed and will always fail.
This is not to say that all alternatives to multiculturalism are correct.
Cultural protectionism/isolationism is one alternative to multiculturalism.
Integration/assimilation is another alternative to multiculturalism. I think it is hard to overlook the success of this approach.
It is very unfair to equate Isolationism with Integration-ism just because they are both anti-multi-cultural.

People need to accept that not everywhere is as cosmopolitan as London. Most places with other cultures or religions stay away from all the' nasty' white people. And that isn't multiculturism, that's some other cultures being plonked into their own little streets and towns, they're not mixed with anyone else so they never witness any cultures other than their own. "Awareness of multiple cultural beliefs" and "implementing multiple cultures under one legal system" are different things. The former is fine, the latter does not work.
The UK runs under one dominant culture, one set of laws. The problem with "implementing" multiple cultures is that you end up with things like religious courts which pass rulings that go against the standards of the main UK culture such as male/female equality, divorce rights, custody rights, etc.
THAT is what isn't working.
