bought this at the first store in my city to carry it, the day they first got it, 15 minutes after they opened. Whole album was a day time chem hustler soundtrack. You need it? I got it. We'll work it out.
I listened to this when I was 7 while looking through my uncle's records as he was working as DJ back then. He ended up giving it to me and I still have it, he's awesome.
That's my Dad wearing the blue blazer on the left. He died 8 years ago but he'll always be on the cover of a Chem Bros album, and that makes me happy-)
@CamiloSanchez1979 Our Lady Fatima in Harlow, Essex, England. Harlow was Formerly Harlow-New-Town built after the second world war and is where I grew up in.
I fortunately experienced these sounds in college.... with all the liberty that goes with it. stglhor1zon was right on the money!! Only negative, I saw them live, and they closed down shop at 11 PM.
Sometimes it's about having something to hold on not necessarily religion. Sometimes having the spark of something is the only thing keeping you goin.
@zartavourta1 : thanks, yeah i know it's from that song, but it sounds like it's a quote taken from somwhere (but it might just be recorded for the song)
@epirvsflavivs It's from a movie that came out in1973 called The Mack. Willie Hutch did the original song and this bit from the movie is in the original intro. Great movie, I highly recommend it if you ever get the chance to see it. I saw it when it came out.
This was one of my favourite albums ever back in the day, the 90's were the best times for me. Plus my parents got married in that church and ive spent a few magical moments in there myself as a pagan raver. Goddess Easter blessings everyone. peace and love. xx
Best thing about Big Beat was that it equalized the border between "black music" and "white music". They made rap and hip hop rock'n'roll again, just like Grandmaster Flash and NWA did, before fags like Pdiddy and 50 Cent fucked it all up...
"I'ts called Brothers gonna work it out. The pic in the vid is the cover art on the cd jacket insert. Unless i forgot. It a is a mix from other artists samples if i recall right. Pretty awesome...
When I got this album in middle school this was way over my head! As an adult this album is marvelous with all sorts changes, genres, and booty shaking! This opening track to Willie Hutch's Brother's Gonna Work it Out is simply perfection! Work it Out!

19 fucking 90's. i might have been awkward at the time but hindsight shows you what good music we had back then. With 8 days left to go of the 00's will the new decade show us something new and exciting? I hope so but I have my doubts. Old skool, pills, mushrooms, bongs, big beats and optimism forever. xxxxxxxxxxx
