  • almost every toilet has the option to flush with the half tank. but i dont know asian or american toilets

  • tip , don't flush XD

  • Check out my page for more tips on how you can save money !!

  • That's a great money saving trick. I have got to try that.

  • how the fuck does putting a half gallon container in ur tank reduce water use? i dont get it

  • This is a good idea, however, the guys comments have a point - you do tend to flush the W/C several times.... we all need to do our part, especially the water companies in the UK who find it cheaper to put their prices up, rather than fixing / replacing the huge leaks on our historic water main systems under ground. Another idea would be to reduce the water pressure in our own homes as shown in my videos!

  • A stupid idea for a 1.,6 gallon per flush toilet. They hardly work on a good day and I'm supposed to delete a good % from the 1.6 gallons? I also hope the idiot from U C Berkeley who invented the stupid POS has several of them in his house; why should we be miserable without him enjoying some of it?

  • a Tip you can go to the shower whit your man or boyfriend or man what ever lol

second don't flush wha't until your boy friend whan't to pee or shit ? it saves some

    %

  • this video is fucking hilarious :D :D

  • how does this save money? water is free where i live

  • @BlakeGoodwell it 'saves' money because it uses much less water.. and water is really expensive where you have to pay for it

  • Comment removed

  • @BlakeGoodwell lol i guarantee its not, you still live with your parents, yes?

  • @stix471 yes but im from iceland. our water is heated by the earth naturally. the earth is so hot it lets us produce tropical fruit.

  • This won't work at all!

  • posal reglezi direct nici nu trebuie sa pui sticla in el

  • i still don't get it.

  • @HardcoreSnackGamer less water has to be filled in the tank because the jug used up a lot of space and volume

  • da poti sa reglezi cata apa vrei sa cada din flotor

  • nice. put a brick in ours, about 4 months ago, no problems.

  • insted of filling the bottel with water fill it up with sand your saving water right there!!!

  • I never flush, I win! :D

  • i've done this for years. cheaper than buying those new efficient toilets; mine now uses about 2 gallons per flush. it also helps keep the toilet from overflowing :P

  • Looks like you save money by filling the tank up with piss already....

  • thanks

  • buy an ECO URINAL....NOW.....see it on youtube !

  • Pro tip: Pee in sink.

  • @dunpeal21 orrrr when your taking a shower! everymorning, easy as shit.

  • my province we dont pay water its illimited :)

    QC rule

  • @ericcooll Ta bien raison buddy

  • just add ur own water

  • We love our low flow dual flush toilet. We use .9 gal per flush and it works...

  • How bout...If its yellow let it mellow, if its brown flush it down??

  • @MrSammyjtek If it's yellow you are dehydrated.

    so that's a double saving!

you are not drinking enough and letter it mellow!

    good shout!

  • You could also use bricks.

  • ...or you can shit outside, on your lawn

  • ...or, you could buy a high-efficiency toilet and save water. if you take this approach mentioned in this "crappy" video after chili night, the shit will hit the lid. if anything, the narrator (or whoever came up with this idea) should see a doctor or stop eating five-alarm chili every single night. just try it.

  • ok correct me if im wrong but a half gallon of water, 7500 gallons per year thats 15000 flushes, 41 flushes a day... who shits that much!? over ambitious narrator methinks

  • Oh gosh my stomach is hurting from laughing so hard at defendant420's comment.

  • ewwwwwwwwwww look at the water colour

  • This tip would reduce the pressure you toilet flushes with, even though that sounds good it's bad. Because the water pressure is reduced, it increases the chance of stuff not going down or your toilet clogging. This tip would be good if you don't crap in the toilet, but for most of us... This is not a good tip!

  • I have flush that i need to pull up and i can just pull it up slowly so water will be great for pee~~~~

  • Here in norway most of our toilets have one button for small flush and one button for a big flush

  • @holkemann

but the toilet would still take less water!!

    Am I Right? :p

  • a regulation of how many water you want to flush exists already for a long time, only old toilets don't have it here

  • dude japanese toilets have a hand washer above the toilet so you basically wash your hands and use the same water to flush

  • @TDLakaDavidLover

Gross but cool but I wouldn't drink it or would I... :D

  • Where I live, water only costs .8 cents per gallon. That's point 8 cents! And since sanitation is important, I won't take the advice in this video. Others below have mentioned flushing only for solid waste. In addition to that, try catching shower water with a bucket and using that to flush.

  • use 3 bricks instead,or fill a gallon with sand, this way it will no float around in your tank and inter fear with the flush.

  • very good idea. thanks a lot for sharing.

  • its simple. just drink the toilet water :D

  • @thatsrougue55

Pee in it and it gets apple flavouring! :D

  • If it's yellow, let it mellow. If it's brown, flush it down

  • Im scared to even look whats in the tank . what makes you think im gonna put a jug inthere.

  • @Confess2Regret because they named themselves "videojug"

  • Why don't you buy a low-flush-toilet? These highly efficient toilets use only 1.5-3 gallons per flush , as opposed to conventional toilets that use between 6-9 gallons per flush

  • Does this even work?

  • @bLaCkSpRinKLes The whole concept of the tank filling up is a small lever with a float on it. When the float is near the bottom (empty tank), the lever opens a valve which fills it with water. When it reaches the top, the lever shuts it. If there is a large jug sitting in the tank, that's less space to be filled up with water, so less will be used.

  • That's a good advice. My advice on phone credit, use 1800mumdad (AU) when calling your friends and family. When making outgoing phone calls just dial 1800mumdad and a voice prompt will guide you through the steps. This will save you from paying to much on your phone bill.

  • @maniacholo Yeah, instead it'll charge the person you're calling several times more money.

  • save money through watching this video and save more extra money by using reverse charge calls just like 08000mumdad.

  • Ilive in a country where it never stops raining yet the government are going to charge us water rates....think i will start collecting rain water and filtering it.

  • please dont waste your time here unless you are bored but if you want to save real energy. get your hands on the SURGEXPRO.

  • I just never flush

  • I have one of the first 1.5 gallon flush tiolets A large meal snacks ice cream chips and hot salsa. Then WOW 4 or 5 times to the bathroom. So thats 2 or 3 flushes each trip on a low fluch and a usage of 30 to 50 gallons of water usage before I am cleaned out. The water is in with the rent ans saked the HOA manager for a new tiolet. She said NO so I waste and not charged a few hundred gallons each month on a bad design tiolet.

  • but if you take a big man size dump your going to have to flush it like 4 times

  • @atnipjoe and use 3 times more water... also were I live water is a yearly bill not monthly no meters ect..

  • @atnipjoe do it in the back yard then

  • Not a good idea to use a brick as has been suggested - they can crumble after a time and loose bits in the system is not good news. Much better to use the filled container as in the video and it definitely saves water (and money if you have a water meter like me).

  • if its yellow let it mellow if its brown flush it down ;)

  • @DopeyD4vid haha

  • how is this saving water after or before flushing thats not beaing told in here.

  • the jug in the tank on top of your toilet displaces some of the water used to flush.

Floaters that are attached to the drain and water hose that refills the tank after a flush keep the water at a consistent level.

Go take the top off the tank of your toilet and flush once or twice, you'll see how it works.

  • that guys toilet tank was like green/yellowish mine is like clear or blue. nasty

  • is this legal? :)

  • You can do the same thing with a brick.

  • lol

  • arent you supposed to take the cap off the bottle you put in the toilet?

  • the flush might not be sufficient though.. but it depends wether theres lots or little to flush in the toilet.

  • Excellent video! Amazing how simple and inexepensive actions DO make a significant difference on the mis-use of our natural resources. And how these simple steps not only save us money, but green our planet, too!

  • 20 years ago, the brainless and idiotic environmentalists gave us government-mandated low-flow flush toilets, which take 2-3 flushes to clear the bowl, using far more water than the original toilets. So now they want us to displace another 1/2 gallon of water so we can flush 4-6 times for each use of the toilet??? This is about as stupid as it gets.

  • i take it you eat a lot. fat ass.

  • can this be done with a human hand?

  • A Duuuhhhhhhhhhhhh. Or, you can adjust your float down to shut off earlier like its designed to do rather than displace water. Screw the enviroment religeon. Left wingers are very msart, srmat, I mean smart.

  • Does a raccoon work as well?

  • wow...thanks for the tips

  • you should re-name this video "How to have shitty wads of toilet paper in the toilet after you flush it."

  • better yet, just go outdoors/use waste for compost if you're a gardener >_>

  • thank you that helped a lot

  • It might just be like if you had less water pressure. It would still function fine, but if more flush is needed, put a little less water in the jug.

  • wont that make the flush weaker?

  • like u need a strong flush? well unless you have big cr..... nm

  • it makes it less long, and it recharges faster =D

  • I'm a Plumber in OZ.

We have dual flash cisterns here, half flush (3 litres) for piddle's and full flush (6 litres) for poo.

Saves 40,000 litres in most family homes a year!

  • YEA...thats wat i have in my bathroom...:P

  • smart

  • I don't see how that will work

  • The milk jug displaces water and tricks the toilet into thinking the holding tank is full. ;-)

  • uhmmmm ! now were that toilet !

  • its true, its true

  • how would this work?

  • you want to save money type in Unenforceable Loan amazing!!

  • everyone knows that tip

  • dont do this, the toilet is designed to work with a cetain capacity of water.. 2cents per flush to fix a line burried in your wall??? no thanks.

  • i am sure such a sophisticated device like toilet can function with a gallon less.

  • BINGO!!

  • Hmm....that's really neat.

  • wut it do?

  • less water to fill up the toilet tank = savings

  • kool thanks

  • you prob ,put you batteries in the fridge too .. ha haaa . this toilet mod sucks, u leed full flush not low flow and even less water . have fun calling roter rooter when all that shit piles up in the main line ! lol

  • good idea..check out my idea to save money this christmas

  • we hve the same sort of thing here

  • I have something like that in the toilet. It takes only a gal of water. I should of posted on here ..lol

  • you could just lower the float instead. An ideal would be to have a #1 or #2 switch (sensor) so you dont have to get the plunger out.

  • i think i will try that

  • Wanna save some water? Piss and shit on the streets. You will see results !

  • lol so true

  • Gotta do this in every toilet I suppose, not just one, to get those kind of savings.

  • i did it and the container got stuck with the thing and i just lost like 2 hours of water..

  • my pusssy is wet

  • doesn't this mean theres less flushing power and a higher chance of blockage cos theres less water to push the shitt.

  • Could be... I think toilets should have dual tanks with a piss and shit button. Piss would flush using one tank. Shit would flash using both tanks. I'd call it the P&S Company, LLC

  • genious!!

  • LOL, great idea. Maybe add a third tank and a "mother load" button.

  • they already have those toilets. they have half and full flush buttons on them.

  • @744682532 there is such kind of toilets

indeed i have one like that

  • Comment removed

  • @744682532 YOU DOOOOOO know that there already is those kinds of toilets...mby not in retarded american but were i come form we have those

  • @744682532 I think there already is one... (I saw it in a show that was showing awesome toilets)

  • @744682532 i am never getting a toilet from you

  • @744682532 Great idea, America. We've had that in Europe for over thirty years.

  • Nice!

  • To save water, drink tequila! When you get drunk enough, watch, rate, and comment on my videos.

  • fuk u ass hole

  • lol

  • Isnt that the newer water saver mainsfield toilet, they are a 1.6 gpf toilet water saver.

The bottles in a toilet tank is for a 3.5 to 5gallon toilet.

  • is this a joke? how the hell does it work?

  • Your viewers might want to check out "Recycle Bath Water to Flush Toilet". Congrats on bringing back your idea as to how to save water.

  • hello get a new toilet then you dont have to do that you can get a good one for like 150 that how much my dad paid for his and we love it then when i go to my grandmas house it takes 1 mt to have every thing to go down

  • how does it save money??

  • -_- watch the video lol

  • i wonder..... when u save water u save on ur water bill u retard go to school

  • it saves mones because there won't be so much water wasted with every flush.. water isn't for free.. so it saves money! usually every common mind can work that out.. you seem that you don't. poor you

  • My city water utility company just raised water 37% and sewer 12%. I'm scrambling to find every low cost water saving measure I can. I plan to try this. Hopefully it'll save water without making it difficult to flush.

  • i dont know bout u pplz but i can use a full gallon and it will still flush

  • Q1q21

  • If a half gallon container won't fit, try a smaller one. Glass bottles are good, less likely to move around during the flush cycle. We tried a brick for years, but it did eventually disintegrate. We'll be dong this trick until we can afford a new dual flow toilet.

  • cool im gonna try that

  • Four simple things you can do to save the planet:

    1) Eat your mail.

    2) Don't drag your feet when you walk.

    3) Do cross-word puzzles in your head.

    4) Teach your pet to perform photosynthesis.

  • hey, thats genious. truly revoloutionary haha

  • lol ok....

  • a woman from singapore has already invented a device that recycles shower water to flush the toilet...

  • This is a really good idea. Even for incompetent folks.

  • Why not design a toilet that has two different levels of flush? instead of a handle, use two buttons; one is a flush for urine (low water usage) and the other is a flush for fecal matter (more water for a tougher job). Recognizing the need for this appliance to a-commode-ate two separate functions will allow for the best solution. Sometimes one size doesn't fit all needs. Make your flush kit adaptable to an existing toilet and you'll be a millionaire. Genius I know... now make it happen.

  • It is already created.

  • All toilets in Israel are like that.

  • my toilets are like that, a little product Rotoplas made here in Mexico.

  • umm thats all ready like that.. its called "Dual Flsh"

  • is this a joke? or are you serious?

  • Someone else was a genius first.

  • I'm all for trying to save money, and somewhat making a difference in our quality of life, but this post amused me to no end! :)

  • Hey! Pee outside and shit in the backyard! Makes great fertilizer for the roses!

  • tip: flush only crap

  • i just dont flush.....nahh

  • It isn't bullshit and I don't know why people are making such a big deal out of this! If after you try it you don't like how your toilet works with less water you can simply take it out. It doesn't cost you any money... think about it.

  • CA CARTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNE
