AnimeClassicReviews is... but, they're -extremely- slow. I'm talking like, this won't be done in years (so hopefully someone else picks it up).

Sadly only the first 7 episodes are complete. I really want to see this, along with some of Takahashi's other classic mecha shows that never made it to the US and haven't been subbed. His stuff is amazing, Votoms rules.

Pretty cool -- never imagined I'd see the Layzner intro.

Though perhaps you can also see why it wasn't as big a hit as some other mecha series of that time. Metal Armor Dragonar's opening is snazzier, better animated, more upbeat. A better tune, too.

It's set in an alternate timeline. The year 1996 and humanity is fully spacefaring with colonies on the moon and Earth. A group of students visiting Mars colony are attacked by a mysterious group of alien robots. One of the robots fights them off and then opens up to tell the kids to fight for their lives. The series follows the war to stop the aliens with the SPT Layzner mecha.
