Don't mean to sound ignorant but I am wondering if this song about the Apartied in South Africa or is this about something else? I guess I was thinking its about SA since DM has SA roots? Can you clear this up for me?
Its very unfortunate that people still support these horrific imperialist wars. And whos interest are the fought for? Ours? I think not? The working poor always die for the rich. Its not right, its not fair, its not freedom. The miracle of human liberation will be accomplished eventually, ruling classes beware! We working millios, the opressed, the exploited, we will take back whats rightfully ours, and we'll never fight for you anymore.
I know the Gorge was full band. But several songs, like "Cry Freedom" were performed by Dave solo. Listen to it if you don't believe me. I'll take your word that this isn't luther and I am pretty sure it is the Gorge version then.
Often the first song of the encore is Dave doing a song solo. I was at the Gorge that night. I saw it and heard it with my own eyes and ears. It was rather memorable!
Nice video, nice music. 400,000 American millitary personnel died during WWII paying the ultimate sacarfice, along with millions of Europeans, Russians etc.
