The interior is a bit cheap, but it seems to be a decently sturdy car and very well built. I don't think it's loud at all! But I'm coming from a Jeep so anything is quiet to me. Handles great, MUCH bigger than it looks inside and out. I feel safe inside the car with all its safety features. I do wish that the SXT had more features STANDARD, but that's nothing I can't solve with a little bit of parts hunting. ;-)

Avenger R/t , the Charger is ok if you need room for lots of people . The Avenger does have the 3.5 @ 235hp. Be real sweet if they could squeez a Hemi in there .
I encountered the same question a couple weeks ago. I decided to go with the loaded Dodge Avenger and I'm loving the decision. It is a great car and I have no doubt that if you are open to enjoying a mid-sized sedan, you'll love the Avenger.
i agree with what these guys said, the 3.5 in the charger is kinda sluggish and underpowered since the charger is a heavy car, but put that same engine in a much lighter car and the result is quite noticeable. Plus you wont get grief about not having a v8 if you get the charger.
that is true! the original avenger had 2 doors. Dodge is losing its focus!! all ther newer model look alike. no originality. all same engines. cheap bastards!! engineers must be on strike
Must have spanked the 2.4 world engine... I have a GrandAM GT1 with 3.4HO, Ram Air, etc. I test drove a 3.5 Avenger with Auto-stick and it will eat my GrandAM alive. Both pretty peppy for cheap stock mid-size cars though
Unfortunatley 2 dr cars haven't sold well and insurance here in Canada has a 2dr as a sportscar even if its a 2 dr Civic Dx ! It would awesome as a 2dr too pity.

I just bought the red R/T, love it so far.
But I just saw a broucher of the new Pontiac G6 and it looks sweat and faster BUT
I had a grand prix crap out at 38,000 miles. So I'll keep this one.

Just purchased an 08 Red Avenger w/razor rims. Kids that have seen it mistaken it for Transformer car. The built in Beer fridge is GREAT!
