Tony Blackburn launched BBC Radio 1 back in 1967 (under the watchful eye of Robin Scott): an important moment in broadcasting history when the 'Light Programme' was split into BBC Radio 1 & 2.

I still don't know who Chris Moyles is (and I don't really care) though I'm fairly sure that he's never used Gates (or EMT) turntables and quadrant faders.
