I dont see what the big deal is. You both proabably made a lot of mistakes in the lag. He just felt he should have beaten you more covincingly than he did. Offline is night and day from online so who knows. But his message wasnt that big of a deal.

The GB message is most a misunderstanding, I wanted to show that Rico was a cool guy back when we started playing together, few months after the game was released, I was looking for a particular message on GB, but I deleted many back in the day, and conserved only one per player, my intention wasn't to show he thought I was better than him, my intention was to show he was different back then and that his ego is taking over, just look at Abel's forum on SRK he really has his EGO greatly increased

@TPHxItachi, thanks for your feedback, I share some of your thoughts about it, and I also don't hate mashers, is part of the game, but what I do believe is there are stuff, like some special moves or grabs that can be mashed, but that does not apply to charge moves, IMHO, cause you only have one chance to do it right, that is calculated not mashed.

Also I showed the message from back April, cause I assure you he was a pretty cool guy by then, he still is, but somehow his ego is greater.

and you also have your pride as you state on your comments, I think you are a nice guy, and I really enjoyed the games we had so far, same as I did with Rico, I would go on to say I like your style more than Rico's, why? simple, you have pretty good fundamentals and solid ground game, also your timing is top notch, Rico's game it's based on resets, which can be deadlier than combos cause they don't have damage scaling, but this kind of play he excels with, and if it's working why fix it.

rico's message wasn't really that offensive. he was just probably frustrated with the minor lag because he isn't used to it, and he felt it handicapped him (though the way he chose to express that was wrong). about the flash kicks, it seems like something he just doesn't understand about the game, so i'm sure if u jus explained it to him he'd understand. and lol, don't worry about him saying he can't link fw mk st. f. from what i've seen, he can't do that consistently anyway

We shared several messages after that, and yes i did, I explained him why a FK can't be mashed, you can only calculate when the opponent might miss a link and break throw it.

Anyway, that is old news, maybe is better unrecorded games for future sets against him, that is if he wants to play again.

There is no way to "mash" flash kicks! It's a charge meaning you only have ONE, I repeat, ONE opportunity to hit the reversal window. And there is no advantage for Guile on lag. He was probably just upset at the time or something but that really makes the game not fun when people do stuff like that. Knowing how to take a lose is just as important as winning. GeoM beats me all the time and I never get upset because I'm getting better for playing the matches and it's supposed to be fun.

I share the sentiment of badamhell to an extent - I think it's fair to say he bitched about lag/was talking shit after the match, but personally I wouldn't post videos of his messages. Or if I really wanted to make the point, I'd do that separate to the match videos.

About Guile having advantages in lag i think that it is obvious. And it is just because he can be played without using combos just doing flashkicks and sonic booms that are not difficult to execute in lag. Ex Sonic Boom is almost impossible to be blocked on reaction on lag. Please note man, that this not change the fact that you are one of the best Guile players, ho knows, maybe in the world, but it is simple true, this kind of stuff are real issues on lag environment!

@Zato2009 Man, I'm not trying to protect Rico Suave. I don't know nothing beyond the fact that he plays Abel well. I'm just mentioning that, for me, he not seemed to say that he lost JUST because of lag. And for what I understood he did not lost, so... What have to be remembered is that the results of any laggy match can be different in non-laggy environment (for both sides), and that means that Geom could won every match if there is not lag, or lose. That's what I mean.

I think almost all the cast have a hard time in laggy environment. I see it this way, in this case, he has a roll, easier for him to escape corner traps or even set traps after the roll, command grab deals a good damage and let him keep the pressure afterwards, pretty good normal moves with very good priorities, a move that can go throw projectiles, and several ways to set up his ultra in combo, and a pretty good crossup kick, he maybe difficult to use in a laggy game, but he has options.

I know everyone is entitled to his/her opinion, I'm ok with that, and I receive a LOT of HATE MAIL, that doesn't even bother me, but to tell you the truth I didn't expected that from him, not the lag thing, I'm not referring to that in particular, he is not saying I won 4 of the 5 games because of lag, but implies that the lag gives me an advantage which I think it is not true, why? for the same reasons I wrote in the description of this video, but then again that is just my opinion.
