Theres really no stop to this, no matter what you do. One of the main reasons SF has such a bad graffiti problem, is because its so crowded and such a condensed city. Everything is jammed together and so close and thats why theres so much tagging and graffiti. For every square mile in San Francisco there has to be at least 1000 people willing to go out and tag. San Francisco is literally a city built for Graffiti, Taggers, and straight vandalism.

Ok, I will play devil's advocate here. I love murals-the colors, the artistry, the effort that's put into them which portrays more than scribble (I hope I don't get threatened for saying that).

And pressing an issue such as tagging (not graffiti in general) doesn't negate all of the other issues which exist in cities such as homicide.
